Part 10

The next day I wake up to my alarm beeping, 7:00 a.m.

I roll my eyes and get out of bed, I walk to my closet and pick out a casual outfit, jeans, and a white crop top.

I make my way to the bathroom, I splash my face with cold water to wake me up and stare at myself in the mirror, I don't want to go to school

After what happened yesterday in the cafeteria, I just want to disappear forever

I brush my teeth, spray-on deodorant, do my makeup, and spray some perfume all over me

"Laurie!", my mom yells from downstairs

I roll my eyes, I'm still a bit upset about yesterdays conversation with my parents, I clean my bed and grab my backpack on the way out the door, I rush downstairs and see my mom setting up breakfast

My dad and Brandon are sitting patiently as my mom flips the pancakes, I'm not feeling hungry at all, I just want to head to school

"Good morning", my dad smiles

I make a half-smile and sit down next to Brandon, he chugs down the glass of orange juice and wipes his mouth with his hand, gross

I cringe and pull out my phone, I received a text message from Allison but I guess I didn't notice earlier

Allison: Hey, meet me at the front gate today? We need to talk.

She wants me to meet her at the gates today? For what?

I'm just going to leave her on read

Why does she even want to talk to me? I don't want anything to do with her or her little minions, especially Tessa, I trusted her the most

My mom sets down a stack of pancakes for us to grab from the center of the table

"I'm not hungry", I look down at the pancakes, "I'll just grab an apple out the door"

My parents look at each other, they look confused

"Are you okay?", my dad asks

I nod

Like they even care, they didn't bother to ask yesterday

"You don't seem like it?", my mom sits down with her cup of coffee

"Yes, I am okay", I roll my eyes

I can tell they don't want to bother me so they continue eating, maybe if they knocked on my door and asked how I was feeling yesterday I would feel like eating

They finish up and throw their dishes in the sink, I slip on my shoes and head out the door, my dad drops me off at school today instead

Brandon gets dropped off last because he enters a few minutes later

I wave bye to my dad and Brandon, they wave back and I get down, I'm early to school today so I have 30 minutes to chill before class

Suddenly I see Allison at the front gate, I remember that she texted me to meet her, guess she wasn't lying

I walk towards her, no one else is with her so I decide to see what's up

"I saw your text message earlier", I say, she nods

"We need to talk, it's serious", Allison looks me in the face
