2. Sedation

Bokuto yawned quietly, turning over in bed. "Kashi... are you crying?"

"No Koutarou. Leave me alone."

"Ouch..."

Akaashi turned over. "Suga's pregnant."

"Again?"

"Yeah... and I'm not." He closed his eyes. "Still."

"Sweetheart, I'm so sorry." Bokuto got closer and hugged him close. "I promise you that we'll have a little one soon enough. It's going to happen eventually. We just have to be patient." 

He took a deep breath. "Koutarou we should try right now and then during my heat."

"Like right now, right now?"

"Yes. Right now." Akaashi threw the blankets off of himself and headed into the bathroom before slipping off his shirt. "I'm desperate and I'm sorry."

Bokuto pulled him down and kissed his forehead. "We can try. We can try all the times you want." 

Akaashi smiled. "I love you so much."

"Mm..." Bokuto laughed quietly. "Your heat's in like three days. This will be interesting."

Akaashi picked at the container in front of him, frowning. He was close to whining at it at this point but decided it was best not to be immature. He'd just ask Kuroo to take it back for him. He didn't want anything that was cooked that wasn't from his own mate or Sugawara.

Akaashi closed it and got a container of bright colored candies out. He popped one in his mouth before going under his desk and relaxing into the blankets and pillows he'd hidden there. It was his makeshift nest, just in case he needed something comforting.

It had a comforter, three pillows, and a few of Bokuto's shirts.

Very comfy and homey feeling even if it was under a desk.

He nuzzled a shirt close to him and smiled. It was a lot warmer down here than he'd remembered.

He closed his eyes, drifting off.

When Akaashi woke up he immediately felt agitated and very hot. There was someone's scent in the room he didn't like being in his office when he was nesting. He poked his head up, seeing Daichi.

He growled, not wanting him in the room.

"It's just me. I came with some water if you need." Daichi started to get closer.

Akaashi growled again, louder.

Daichi tensed, scared he was going to go feral on him for being in a close area with his nest. "A-Akaashi, hey. It's just water. I'm not going to touch you or your nest."

Akaashi started standing as Daichi got closer, fists clenching.

"Akaashi, don't get mad at me. Deep breath."

"Get out."

"And there I go." Daichi put the water on Akaashi's desk and left, hearing Akaashi's growl get louder and seeing him try and hit him.

Akaashi lowered to his desk again and relaxed. The door opened again and he peeked up.

Suga smiled at him. "Hey there. Bokuto is in a meeting right now but he'll come in to help get-" Akaashi launched himself at Sugawara, sniffing him excitedly. Suga chuckled. "You're adorable..."

Akaashi hummed. "Do you have food?"

"I do." Suga opened his bag. "Sit down silly. Bokuto will be here in just a moment."

Akaashi went back to his nest and Suga gave him the water Daichi had brought him and sat by him.

"You feel okay?"

"I want Koutarou..."

"Shhhh." Suga leaned over. "Just close your eyes. It's okay."

"Mm." Akaashi closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "We're going to have a baby..."

"Oh really?" Suga questioned, pulling a plastic medical bag out of his bag.

"Mhmm. I've lost three children already. We just want a baby." He shifted. "Do you think I can have a baby?"

"Of course you can." Suga whispered, extracting something from a vial in one hand with a needle.

"I want a baby boy... but a girl is okay too."

"That sounds wonderful. You're so strong for bouncing back so quick. Most omegas would have gone into their downspiral by now. But not you. You're determined." Suga leaned over and stuck Akaashi with a needle in his scent gland. "Sweet dreams."

"M-mm..." Akaashi was asleep within minutes, holding onto Bokuto's shirts.

Suga sighed. "I feel so bad..." He remembered his own pup, who was four by now. He was a sweetheart and would follow Suga around the house with a stuffed bear. What would he have done if he ended up not having his little Yuichi?

"Kashi! Are you okay?!" Bokuto hurried into the room. "Suga? Is he under his desk?"

"Yep. In his nest and sedated. Just like he needs. He nearly went feral on Daichi a second ago."

"Sorry about that! I've been training him a bit about how not to go feral if he's upset. But he didn't hurt Daichi so I guess he's getting better." Bokuto heard Akaashi make a small sound they both knew was his way of pleading for his mate. Bokuto hurried to scoop him up and hold him.

"Hey, good luck this time. And uh... this is awkward info but after the knot goes back down, stay in. Don't pull out until you're about to fall asleep. I know it sounds weird but that's how you increase your chances."

"Thanks." Bokuto kissed Akaashi's hair as he made another call for him.

"He's adorable."

"Mine." Bokuto mumbled, tightening his grip on the younger boy.

"Why is your mating mark so shallow on him?"

"Because it was hurting him too much to keep going. I tried to bite harder but he started to let out that weird distress smell and I got nervous." Bokuto hefted him up a bit higher. "Mm... he smells really good right now..."

"How about you take him home before the sedative wears off."

"Right!" He turned around and hurried to his car. Akaashi's eyes opened slightly.

"K-Ko...?"

"Hm?"

"It's hot." He whined and started to remove his clothes.

"Not so fast!" Bokuto held one of his hands. "We're still in the parking lot."

Akaashi took off his coat and shirt. "Too late."

"E-eh... don't strip. Wait. Don't-"

Akaashi went over to his seat and held onto him. He nuzzled his neck, shakily breathing. "It's cooler over here. I like this."

Bokuto leaned his seat back. He reached an arm back and grabbed a small plastic back. Akaashi kept sniffing and grabbing at him even after hearing the contents of the bag being taken out. "Night night."

Akaashi tensed as a needle inserted into his skin again. He shuddered before hastily getting into his own seat before the sedative kicked in. "That really is a str..." Akaashi shuddered. "Down I go."
