"You're still doing a wonderful job, Amane" Misaki reviewed each photo he took with a smile.

"Thank you, Misaki-san" he bowed to him and left the company. It was late in the evening and he decided to go home but for some reason his feet dragged him to the alley.

"What am I even doing here?" He went pass through the wall and revealed his friends. They were chatting casually until Aoi noticed him.

"Hello, Amane-kun! Yashiro is expecting your arrival" her smile felt off and he felt uneasy today.

"She's at the rooftop" Akane replied to his question which was stuck on his head for a while. He went to the rooftop with a strange feeling.

"Why are standing there like a statue?" Yashiro asked and he snapped out of his thoughts. He walked towards her and leaned on the railings beside her.

"Yashiro, I've been meaning to ask you this" he gathered his courage and took a deep breath

"What are we?" His voice cracked a bit knowing what she'll reply

"We're friends of course" she giggled slightly

"But Yashiro, I really do love you. I know you like me-"

"Amane, I don't give a shit about your feelings and don't even think that I like you" she snapped at him which made him shocked and hurt

"Stop lying! Tell me the truth" He yelled at her as he  grabbed his shoulders to make her face him

"You want the truth? Fine, I'll tell you the truth!" She yanked his arms from her shoulder as her eyes flashed red

"I only befriended you so that we could kill yokais easily. It's just work, Amane. There's no you and me. There's no us!" Her tails were now out

"I k-know you l-love me" he tried denying what he just heard as tears continued flowing down to his cheeks

"I could never love a pathetic and weak human being like you" his eyes were now red from crying too much

"Leave!"

'Don't go!'

"I hate you, Amane"

'I love you, Amane'

His heart shattered into pieces upon hearing her say that. He wiped his tears aggressively and ran away from that place.

When she saw her left, she broke down into tears. Aoi came to comfort her along with the others.

"Are you really okay to let him go?" Akane asked sadly

"I don't want Kako to know about him. He'll use him against me or worse he'd turn him into a yokai" she sniffled a bit and tried containing her tears.

"Daikon-senpai sacrificed her love for him" Mitsuba was touch by this and teared up a bit

"We'll continue watching over him" Mirai said

"But what if Kako already knew your weakness but waited patiently for the perfect timing?" Lemon asked

"Lemon might be correct, nene-chan" Aoi said

"We'll protect him" they all nodded and she stood up

"and I think I know where Kako is"
