I stood in a floral, green dress that showed off my figure nicely and was fancy enough without looking like I was trying too hard, outside the tour bus waiting for Niall. I had light makeup on and my chocolate hair was curled so it still looked natural, just a bit neater than my natural curly hair. I looked at the time on my phone, realising that I was 20 minutes early in my excitement to get ready. I sighed but stayed where I was and distracted myself by texting my best friend.

To my surprise it was only 5 minutes before Niall also appeared, wearing a blue button-up shirt and black jeans, and with his hair quiffed up. Although, it didn't look as perfect as it did when Sienree did it, leading me to believe he had done it himself. I smiled as he walked over to me and held his hand out.

"Ya look so beautiful, Ava," he murmured, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink, making him look almost boyish.

"Thank you. You look good too" I told him, both of our cheeks now burning.

As he began to lead us towards a car it was silent and for a second I was worried that this date would make everything awkward between us and we would never be able to go back to how we were. My worries were quickly gone, though, as he started talking to me about the restaurant we were going to, instantly making me laugh so hard that I forgot about my earlier worries, all while reminding me why I had always felt so comfortable, so at home, with Niall.

"Do you know what you're going to get?"

"No, I have no idea what any of this stuff is"

"It has the translations at the bottom of the page"

"I know but I still don't know what it is. What are you getting?"

"I'm not sure, all of this sounds so nice" Niall mumbled before having a sip of beer (which he had earlier tried to convince me that it was traditional Japanese beer. Although I was pretty sure it wasn't, the man just loved a beer). "Hey, why don't we get a platter of sushi and we can just share if you aren't sure what you want".

"Yeah, I'd like that"

Niall ordered for both of us and we sat chatting about anything and everything, with both of us becoming more and more relaxed as the alcohol started affecting us more. It felt like it was only a few minutes before we were leaving the restaurant again, but it had actually been a few hours.

"Umm, so... do you want to come up to my room and hang out for a bit?" Niall asked shyly,

"Niall James Horan! I'm not going to sleep with you on our first date!"

"No! No! I didn't mean it like that, I promise. I just wanted to hang out with you for a bit longer but if you want to go back to your room that's absolutely fine as well" Niall rushed to say, his cheeks and neck a vibrant red colour.

I couldn't help smiling at myself, he was so easy to get embarrassed and flustered, one comment and he looked like a tomato. When I stopped laughing to myself, I looked up into Niall's eyes and saw how nervous he looked. Instead of replying, I grabbed his arms and clutched it before dragging him to the lift and then along the corridor to the door that I knew led to his room.

We were just sitting on his bed, looking for a movie to watch when Niall was suddenly sitting in front of me, both of our legs crossed. He grabbed onto both of my hands into his warm ones, and lent in close to my face.

"I really, really like you, Ava" he muttered, his face so close to mine that I felt his lips brush against mine as he spoke.

"I really, really like you too, Ni" I muttered back, looking into his bright eyes, and I swore that I saw them brighten a bit at my words.

I didn't have a second to prepare myself before his lips were suddenly pressed against mine, not too hard but not too softly either, making me think that he didn't want me to think that he only brought me to his room to have sex with me, but also wanting to make sure that I knew how long he had been waiting for this.

I had always heard people talking about fireworks during a first kiss. It wasn't like that with Niall, it was more like a warmth that spread through my whole body, all the way to the tips of my toes. It felt right, like we'd been doing it our whole lives. Like our lips were made for each other. Like we should never pull away. Like our lips should stay connected for the rest of eternity.

He slowly pulled away, one hand still cupping my cheek and the other a warm presence on my back, a small smile upon his pink lips. He looked at me for a second before pulling me back in for another kiss. This one was a bit harder, and he didn't wait for long before slightly parting his lips against mine, I parted mine in response and he didn't take long before he had slipped his tongue into my mouth, gently exploring. I couldn't help but gasp at how good just kissing felt, how intimate it felt with him without making me feel like we had to progress to the next stage, making me feel like he was perfectly happy with just kissing me for the rest of our lives, how caring he was, how gentle and loving he was being.

He pulled away, but only far enough that our lips were no longer touching, instead we were just panting into each other's mouths. I opened my eyes and met Niall's instantly, his lips red and kiss bitten. I felt like I couldn't breathe, my heart was pounding in my chest, my legs felt weak and my lips sore, in the best way possible. I couldn't say anything, so instead, I brought him in for another kiss, thankfully he just went along with it, pulling me as close as he could without me ending up on his lap.

a/n: they finally kissed properly ahhhh!! I feel like I've been waiting for this for so long. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, if you did remember to like it and share your thoughts with me! Thanks for reading xx
