Starting a new chapter is ultimately something created in your mind. It's the meaning you attach to the event that allows you to perceive the event as something that changes you or opens up a new door in your life.
3 weeks later|6:45 am|Mrs.Blaine office
Monica's POV
"How did everything go with your mother?" Mrs. Blaine asked me as I did a small smile and gave her thumbs up
I was at an early morning session with Mrs.Blaine today because I had work at 8:00, and I wanted to inform her of everything that happened a few weeks ago with my mother
"I'm not gonna lie and say it didn't get rocky at first, but I had a lot on my heart, and I just let what was on my heart out. I didn't give her a chance to talk and afterwards I felt bad, but not too bad." I say as she looked at me and took her glasses off
"There's no reason to feel bad. All your life you had to listen to her speak, and you had to be silent. So there's no reason why you should feel bad when all your life that's what she was doing. When you have a step towards your peace don't look back to trip yourself up to go back more steps than you took. I'm proud of your Monica and I can see you want better for yourself continue to look forward and not behind you." She says as I did a small smile and nodded
"Yes ma'am."

"Okay so what kind of a house are you looking for?" Shay asked me over FaceTime as she was stuffing her mouth with pineapples
"I want something that is like where I stay and still in a good neighborhood." I say with a shrug as I continued to scroll on the computer for houses
"What about where you stay now? Ask your landlord can you buy the house from him or her." She says but I shook my head no
"I own the place. Remember?" I asked and she nodded indicating she forgot" I moved into that place with so much negative energy I need to leave love. Plus getting something new is a fresh start for me. With Alexis moving in with me I want something fresh for her too." I say as I continued to scroll on the computer
"So what are you going to do with the house?"
"First I'm going to get it cleansed then reach out to a realtor to put it up on the market, I was thinking renting it out but I wanna let it go completely."
"How is Lexi doing with the change?'She asked me as I rolled my eyes
"Attitude every damn day. I'm trying to keep my patience Shay, but I'm on thin ice with her little ass. She comes at me as if she feels like I'm against her"
"Then stop and listen. It's bad the world is against her and when she finally has a chance to not feel like that you do the same. She is a teen Mo let her make her mistakes, and learn. Because you were once a teen before and you know the feeling first hand. And it's not a good feeling. You see where it resulted in today. ."
"Damn.."I say with a whisper
" I didn't mean for it to come out like that, but Mo please listen to her. She needs you more than you will ever know." She says as she gave me her serious look
"Yeah, you're right. Ill talks to her later on today."I say as I continued to put information for a patient into the computer
"How did everything go with your mom?" She asked
"Just know your text was a confirmation to do what I had to do, and I did." I say as i gave her a smile
"I know that's right boo. Don't hold back. I'm happy you were able to speak what was on your heart. Like SWV says "Use Your Heart"
