She placed her hand in the gap of my thighs to prevent me from squeezing them together to get myself off.

I moved my leg so that it was touching Lena's, a sign showing that I wouldn't do what she didn't want me to do as a casual sip of my water, Lena whispering into my ear, "Good girl," I choked on my water.

Alex gave me a concerned look as she leaned over the table, patting my back to ensure that I wasn't dying. Maggie now had started bursting out laughing.

Alex gave her fiancee a confused look before Maggie leaned over to whisper in Alex's ear, and I used my superhearing to hear Maggie say, "Little Luthor probably has her hand in Little Danvers's pants," my face went bright pink, and Lena stifled a laugh.

Alex glared at Lena, "You better not have your hand in my sister's pants right now." Lena smirked.

"Oh, that was 3 minutes ago," she cooly responded.

"LENA!"

Lena turned her head to face me as she responded, "Yes, darling?"

I rolled my eyes, "You're mean." She laughed, and I felt her hand move up once more as I squirmed in my seat.

She turned her head to whisper in my ear once more, "Quit squirming around before I give you a reason to," My jaw hung open, and Maggie now had talked Alex into going into the bathroom for a minute so that my sister could recover from Lena's comment.

Weakly whispering back, "Yes Lena," I complied with her orders before experiencing what had happened three minutes ago, again. She edged me. Again.

It was time. It was dusk, and I held the promise ring in the concealed pocket of my super suit as I tenderly took hold of Lena's arm.

"You ready to go, baby?" I gently smiled at her as she nodded. I soon took off with her, without warning, earning a shriek from my girlfriend as we touched down at the rooftop of L-Corp.

Looking her in the eyes, I spoke, "Though your birthday ends in," I checked the time, "ten minutes, this was my plan all along. Happy birthday, Lee," She burst out laughing.

"Kar, it isn't my birthday. I gave you a false birth date. However, I really do appreciate this, love. You're amazing."

"Babe," I called for her attention, "when is your actual birthday?" She grew silent before taking my hands, leading me to the ground to sit down. I unclipped my cape and set it on the roof, sitting down on it, holding Lena close to me.

She took a deep breath, "I was never told when my actual birthday was... only the month. This month, February," I nodded.

"It's okay, Lee. If you want, I can ask my mother if she can check the scanner," I offered. She nodded gratefully, pressing a kiss to my lips.

My hand traveled to where I hid the promise ring in the concealed pocket of my super-suit. With shaky hands, I tapped Lena's shoulder, who turned to face me, a smile on her face.

Clearing my throat, I spoke, "Hey- um... Lee, I have something for you," Her eyebrows dipped in confusion and curiosity as I showed her the ring.

She opened her mouth to speak, but I beat her to it, "This is a promise ring. I- there are so many things that I want- need to promise you," I nervously laughed, "Starting with how I'll always be here for you and with you. Words cannot describe my love for you if I'm being completely honest," I saw a tear form in her eye. My other hand caressed her cheek, my thumb wiping away her tears.

"K-Kara, you don't need to promise me an-" she started to speak. I shook my head.

"I want to. I promise to you that I'll always be truthful to you. You, Lena Kieran Luthor, deserve the honest and blunt truth. For anything. You've been lied to for so long by so many people. And you don't deserve to be treated horribly," she smiled at my statement.

Her eyes flickered to my lips for a brief second before returning to my eyes as she spoke, "Do you promise that you'll let me ramble endlessly about science?" I pretended to contemplate it for a minute, watching her lightly laugh as she murmured something about me being a "goof".

"As long as you agree on never making me eat kale," I compromised. She nodded, pressing a long kiss to my lips. It was passionate, as I put every ounce of my love for the CEO into that one kiss, soon enough pulling away for air.

"Wow," she breathed. I laughed.

"Wow."

"Has anyone ever told you that you're the best kisser?" Lena teased.

Scrunching my nose up then smiling, I answered, "Once or twice. Maybe you'll just have to say it more often, Miss CEO," She laughed lightly before allowing me to slip the promise finger onto her left index finger. I was saving her left ring finger for a special occasion.

I suddenly remembered what Alex had wanted me to ask Lena- well, convince her. But, I was going to wait until later for that. I don't think that convincing Lena freaking Luthor to agree on combat lessons for "just-in-case" scenarios would be a breeze/

The green-eyed beauty suddenly spoke, "Your eyes. They're- just... I'm speechless. Kar, I really wish that you could see how beautiful your eyes are, especially right now... in the moonlight, the city's lights reflecting onto the back of your head... it highlights your blonde hair, which compliments your eyes... you're a goddess, Supergirl," I felt myself blushing at her declaration.

"Thank you, Lee... if only you could see yourself, right now," smiled as I peered down on her before speaking, "Your eyes. Green... so green. Literal Kryptonite, Lee. That jawline... oh my Rao, that jawline. You sure you're not the goddess here? 'Cause if there's one thing I'm sure of, you're the goddess. Stunning," I ran my hand through her hair.

"Thank you."

I heard static in my ears, and Alex's voice rang out, loud and clear, in my ear, "Your comms was on the whole time, sis," I laughed silently to myself before pressing and holding down on the device lightly, activating the microphone.

"Sorry about that. Please tell me these aren't recorded," Lena pieced together what was going on, and she held back laughter as I spoke with my sister.

"They're recorded. Don't worry, we'll play this at your wedding," Maggie had turned on her comms unit, and I just shook my head, laughing.

Alex spoke again, "We'll leave you two lovebirds alone so that you can enjoy each other's presence. Please turn your comms off, I don't wanna hear any of that."

"Alex!" I whined at the intended joke. Lena rolled her eyes as I turned off my comms, pressing a kiss to the younger Luthor's lips, savoring the sweet taste of her lips.

"I love you," Lena spoke quietly.

I smiled before whispering back, "I love you too,"
