Atsumu's POV

He chose him over me. I know I should have moved on from him much before but I just can't cut off my teammate completely. This was 1year ago. I tried dating a few guys but was never satisfied. I wanted my ball of sunshine. My find fluttered to the past....

Flashback.......

Shoyo came back from Brazil and joined MSBY. I was happy to see him again after the last match against Karasuno in our highschool life. I was very interested in him. He is ball of sunshine and happiness. I wanted to protect that smile. But after awhile I found out that it was just a show. He was really broken.

His boyfriend since highschool,had broken up with him over the issue of him leaving Japan. Yes,Tobio Kageyama was his boyfriend or should I say ex. He used to cry remembering his memories. I decided to make his smile come back. As per my plan,I kept him company 24x7. I made him smile. In the process,his mental health stabilised.

This continued for almost 3months and I fell for him. So on a certain day,I kissed him and he returned it for awhile but soon pulled away. I asked him why and he said,"Tobio contacted me. He explained to me how wrong he was. He wants to get back together. I am sorry Atsumu-san. I love Tobio very much." My heart shattered. I couldn't take it anymore. So,I ignored him for awhile and endured those animated smile of his which were not caused by me.

Flashback ends

It has been exactly 1year since I got rejected. I headed to my favourite cafe to get my mind off of that tangerine. I entered and got a table. I looked around for a waiter when my eyes suddenly fell on a certain orange head. I decided to not pry in his matters. I ordered and waited for my turn. But without my notice,my eyes wandered towards the sunshine. I sipped on my water putting my attention on it when I noticed something dribble down Shoyō's cheeks. Wait! Is he crying? Why? Before I could stop myself,I was already at his table.

He looked up at me shocked and said,"Atsumu-san?" He quickly tried to hide his tear stricken face. But I pulled his hands apart and asked concerned,"What happened Shoyō? Tell me the truth." He shook his head telling,"It's nothing at all. I was just......" He couldn't finish his sentence as he chocked and started crying again. I got up and went to his side and hugged him. He sobbed in my chest and I patted his shoulders. He pulled away and wiped his tears.

He said,"You know what? I won't cry for that jerk. I have you and my wonderful friends. I don't have to waste my time on him." My eyes widened. Is he talking about Kageyama? My heart raced. I asked," What did he do this time?" He looked down at his hands and said,"He was cheating on me Atsumu-san." Oh Lord! I will kill him. How could he actually cheat on such a beautiful person. I hate that idiot. I clenched my hands and gritted my teeth. Shoyō tugged at my shirt and said,"I am sorry. I should have listened to you. I was an idiot back then. I wish we can be like we used to be." My heart literally got out. I said,"May be even more Shoyō." His head shot up and I smiled.

I asked,"Do you like me Shoyō?" He nodded and said," I liked you since back then. But I thought I could save my long term relationship with him. I always kept comparing you with his actions. I thought how happy I would have been if I chose you. I really like you Atsumu-san." The butterflies in my stomach danced and I said,"Then give us a chance. Once more." He looked up smiling and replied,

"Yeah,Once More!"

Hello peeps! I just wanted to tell you that I started a new book named 'Oh shit!I teleported' and yeah ofcourse its anime based. Idk why my crazy ass started it. But I really wanted to write this kinda story. If you want you can give it a read. I have no idea how the story will go but I started anyway.
