Awful Court
The queen was reading a letter fro the pope.
"The king is dead."
Possibly the most beautiful words she ever heard.
The words she secretly been wishing for so, so long.
The words that she can now finally say.Catherine looked up fro the parchment to focus forward.
"Sila." Catherine whispered to herself.
So she pounded out of her chambers into the corridors;
where everyone was forced to wear yellow.A/N: back then yellow was an allegory for grieving over death.
Catherine swayed and passed many that glared angrily or rolled their eyes at her.
But that didn't matter to her now.
Sila could actually live and not be with that tyrant king, that murdered his wife for hypocritical, and false reasons.
Catherine didn't even knock just pounded through the door.
There Sila sat at her vanity, thinking I'm space.
Her head didn't even turn(predominately because she didn't hear her).
"Sila," Catherine whispered in a whist manner.
Sila turned steadily to the person at the door frame.
"Catherine? What are you doing here? You shouldn't."
"Why? The king won't find out." Catherine smiled mysteriously.
Sila raised an eyebrow almost curious but not in the mood for playing.
"What does that even mean?"
"He's dead."
Sila's face dropped.
"Truly?"
Catherine nodded.
Sila froze for a few moments.
But then dashed into Catherine's arms.
"And now Edward is king; we can leave this awful court." Catherine held onto Sila as tightly as she could.
"But I have something to ask of you," said Sila.
"Yes?"
"Will you marry me?"
Catherine was now the one becoming glacial.
But like ice in the spring, she melted and wrapped her arms around Sila's neck to shout:
"Yes! I so do." She grinned in the crook of Sila's neck.
Sila smiled.
"And we can leave this wrenched place."
