Been a couple months since I've known the guys and I've become close you could say with them. They kind of remind me of my old friends from home but more reckless which is awesome means I don't have to hold back some things because someone is afraid of getting in trouble

"Hey almost showtime you ready ?" Voneva asks me

"Yeah just need to call someone really quick, how much time do I have ?" quickly teasing my hair

"10 minutes, honey phone is right next to the stairs"

Taking her word for it I rush to the phone calling up the number to the Roxy

"Roxy's what do you need" a gruff voice answers

"Yeah can you see if a Duff McKagan is available it's y/n"

"Yeah hold on" hearing him shout I pull the phone from my ear cringing

Waiting for what felt like 2 minutes I finally hear a voice

"Hey, y/n how's it going"

"Good I'm basking in aqua net from how much was sprayed into my hair, how's the night looking for you hot shot"

"Great we've got a full house and go on in 20 minutes, and you're coming to the bar right after right still ?"

"Yeah, you know I can't stay long have to be rested and all for tomorrow's show and pack"

"That's better than nothing right, anyways how long before you get ready to steal the show" he jokes

"I'm a backing vocalist you can't steal the show from back there with the main focus up front, more importantly there's no way I can steal the show from Whitney she's got the vocal range I wish I had, she'd beat me even on my best day"

"I can listen to you sing and dance all day, no matter how good and high her vocal range is"

"Relax hot shot if you want to have another go just tell me and you gladly can have your way with me"

"Is that an invitation I hear"

"It's however you see it Duff but I gotta go just wanted to call you guys and see how you're doing. Now where's my brother is he hyper as ever" referring to Steven

"He's doing fine n/n now I'll talk to you later good luck"

"You too hot shot" hanging up smiling seeing Voneva with her hands on her hips smirking at me

"That guy has you smiling from ear to ear and you're sure you're not dating ?"

"No we're not, I don't do relationships they scare me and means trouble"

"You cannot deny that he makes you feel certain things, I mean you call him nonstop before every show and after every show when you get a quarter"

Guess she has a point but I can't even if I wanted to, with my career boosting there's no way we could make that work

"I'll take it into consideration but otherwise I don't think so, now we need to go finish getting ready"

Duff's POV

"Finally got the words of encouragement you needed, what's going on with you two" Slash asks me coming from the bar

"Nothing just wanted to see how her show was going" shrugging as we walk back to the dressing room

"I would believe that if you didn't sound like you were trying to fool yourself just now with that statement. C'mon man you like her it's obvious what's stopping you from achieving to ask her already"
