Bad Teacher Part 75- Changes

Demi's POV

"Nurse!" I said as I look around the room and still can't find Alex anywhere, A nurse runs in and says

"What seems to be the trouble here Ms Lovato?"

"Where's my fiance? Where's Alex Johnson?"

"She's with her father." she said

"Y-you mean, she's going to die?" I said on the verge of tears.

"No, she's with her father in his room, she's still in her coma but the doctors are going to remove her from it to prep her for surgery. Sweetie you have nothing to worry about she'll be fine." she said as she put her hand on my shoulder

"Thank you may I go in and see her? I mean them?"

"Of course you can, let me help you." she said as she pushes me down the hall into their room

"I'll come get you, when the doctors are ready for her surgery."

"Okay..Thank you so much." I said as soon as she closes the door I break down in tears I wheel myself in between Alex and Craig and I grab their hands and pray, because that's all that left to do right now, just hope and pray

"We've been through so much, and we still stayed strong, we've seen so much and we only see the beauty you have on the world but I ask you please, just please let us get through this obstacle that you threw at us. Give me hope, give me strength and give me love. But most importantly give me a sign, I need a miracle." I said, as I was still holding onto their hands I feel a tightness on my right hand I turn and I see Craigs hand gently gripping on mine.

"Nurse!" I said as I kept my hand on his, the nurse rushes in and she says

"What's going on?!"

"He's holding my hand! he must've heard me!" I said the doctors rush in and check his vital signs and he was still holding my hand. Then Nicole rushes in and she has tears in her eyes, they pull Craig away from me and dragged him into another room, another nurse had to hold Nicol back as they did their job

"That's my husband! I need to be with him!" she said

"Nicole!, stay with me let them do their job." I said as I pulled her arm and she went to me and landed in my arms sobbing.

*One month later*

Alex's POV

"I'm surprised, surprised at the fact everything came out okay. I thought I was going to die, hell... I wanted to die, The pain...The pain was unbearable. I've gone through so much, My family, my friends.... My Demi, just everyone has been through hell and back because of one person. Luckily I took that bitch out when I did, she almost killed my father and I, and she almost killed my friends and my fiance. She was my sister, but even if she's blood, she hurts someone I love...then you're no longer blood....You're nobody. I haven't been the same since that night, everyone has seen the change. Demi thinks I should see a therapist, but venting my problems to some random dude for 100 bucks an hour isn't going to make me feel any better. Zac has been there for me throughout this entire situation, hell he even convinced me to go back into the service. But I won't leave until months from now, the job isn't like the last one. This job is much safer than the last one...hopefully it is. Our wedding is still on, 3 weeks away until I say I do to the girl that stole my heart."

"Baby come down, I made dinner!" yelled Demi from downstairs

"I should go, my future wife calls.... anyway before I go I have one thing left to say... I don't know why but I have a feeling that just won't go away, My thoughts go crazy when I see them and also my view of them has changed...Please for the love of God, don't let this feeling be permanent."

I finish typing on my computer and I head downstairs to see my fiance and my son sitting on the table.

"Hi momma." said Jeremy

"Hey, there's my boy! Are you ready for dinner?" I said

"Yeah, Mommy made spaghetti." he said

"Wow! that sounds yummy huh? well what are we waiting for let's dig in!" I said

"Hey baby." Demi said with a smile

"Hey Dems, how was your day beautiful." I said she blushes and says

"It was good baby, I got back from work and I have some news."

"Oh? what is it baby?" I asked

"The school wants to honor you with a plaque, for saving everyone last month. They're giving you the honorary achievement award."

That was the highest honor anyone would ever receive at that school, only 5 people in the last 20 decades have gotten that award. But I earn it for spilling blood? That made me upset.

"I don't want it." I said

"Wait, what?" Demi said

"I don't want it." I repeated

"But why? you earned that baby and people should acknowledged what you've done." she said

"Killing someone gives me a higher honor? that's like rewarding a killer for killing." I said

"But you're not a killer baby, you saved lives from someone threatening theirs.Alex, what's wrong? you won't tell me what's bothering you, you've been acting different and I just want to know why?" she said worried

"It's just..hard, that's all I have to say."

"What is? Alex talk to me please."

"Not in front of our son..Demi, this looks good but I think I'm just going for a drive for a bit, I need to clear my head. I'll talk to you about this when I get back okay?"

"Okay baby, don't be out late okay? promise we'll talk when you get back?" she said

"I promise, I'll see you in a bit baby." I said

I kiss Jeremy goodbye and I kiss Demi goodbye as I grab my keys and coat and head to my car. Once I get in, my phone rings and it's Zac.

"Hey Zac."

"Hey Alex, I just called to see how you're holding up, is everything okay?"

"Can you meet me?" I said

"Sure, meet me at the Observatory in 20, I'll bring us some drinks so we can talk okay? is Starbucks cool?"

"Yeah sounds great, see you in 20. Thanks Zac."

"Anything for you, drive safe." he said

"You too, bye."

I back out of my driveway and I head to the Observatory and I get there in no less than 15 minutes and he's already there.

There's that feeling again.... and know I know what that feeling is.... It's desire.
