Alex's POV
We change into our Pj's quickly and I walk over to the bedroom door and I see Demi put on My Letterman Jacket and I smile and say to myself "I can't believe she still has that thing I gave that to her months ago and she still wears it it's like she never takes it off." I walk over to the door and open it and I couldn't believe who was standing at the doorway
"Hailey.? What the fuck are you doing here.?" I said I was angry at her I was beyond furious with her and yet she has the balls to come over here to Demi's house to try to talk to me
"Alex please let me explain." she pleaded
"Alex babe who's at the door.?" yelled Demi from the kitchen
before I can say who it was Demi came from behind me and said
"Oh Hey Hailey how are you feeling today I see you're all better I'm glad you're okay." Demi said
"Yeah Thanks...Demi mind if I speak with Alex please I'm sorry it's kinda private..." Hailey said with a rude tone
"Oh umm okay I'll see you in a minute babe bye Hailey." Demi said before she walked away she kissed my lips goodbye and closed the door
"Okay you don't have to be fucking rude to my fiancé Hailey what do you want how did you even know I was here.?"
"Well your car is parked in front of Demi's driveway and the last time we saw you, you said you were going to see Demi because you got your memory back and I'm here to explain everything."
"Explain what that you lied to me, that you didn't tell me who Demi was to me and here's the worst part of it all that you tried to seduce me and have sex with me I thought you cared about me about us! and you did this why.?"
I said as I felt a lump in my throat as I was getting ready to breakdown crying knowing that my best friend did this to me.
"You don't understand! Alex I...I..." she said before I interrupted her
"What Hailey.?! what don't I understand.?"
"That I love you I fell deeply in love with you since our junior year and I never had the chance to tell you! I was going to tell you the day Demi first came to our school but when you left after our race and spent almost a hour with Demi I left and I regret ever doing that because I lost my chance....I lost my chance and now you're getting married and I thought I would move on but I haven't it's hard and when you lost your memory and forgot who Demi was I thought this was my chance to be with you...but you got it back sooner than I thought and I wanted us to be something but I guess that will never happen...I'm so sorry but I still love you and I want to be with you Alex." she said
I couldn't believe what I was hearing did she really say she loved me ever since junior year believe me if she would've told me before I ever met Demi I probably would've been with her but not now and not ever I'm staying with Demi
"You honestly thought that you can say all that and believe I'll just drop everything and leave the one I truly love to be with someone who lied to me and lied to the ones I love I'll never leave Demi and you know what.? she's the one I truly love and I would never cheat or hurt her. You took advantage of me when I needed help and you tried to make me fall in love with you but you failed...Hailey we're just friends that's all we'll ever be nothing else!" I said
There was a long pause and Hailey was on the verge of tears and she whispered loud enough for me to hear
" But I still love you.."
