Skylar's POV*

I get off the plane and look around the airport for my new foster parents. After about 10 minutes of standing by the departure gate looking for my new caretakers, I spot a sign with my name on it.

As I walk towards the unfamiliar face I start to remember the reason why I left New York in the first place.

Patricia.

Patricia was the social worker in charge of me after my parents died. After my sixth pair of caretakers kicked me out Patricia gave up. All of my previous foster parents all said the same things

"she's too hard to handle" or "what's wrong with her"

Patricia was sick of it, so she figured that if she sent me halfway across the world to Sydney, Australia if I get kicked out again it wouldn't be her problem.

"Ello?" a voice instantly snapping me out of my trance

"oh sorry I'm Skyler Williams," I typed quickly on my phone.
"are you my new foster parent?" I added before handing her the phone for her to read.

That's another thing about me. I don't talk. Ever. I haven't for three years now.

"No I'm sorry dear, they weren't able to make it so they so we offered to pick you up," The lady said confused, her Australian accent very evident when she spoke.
"We're your neighbors, I'm Liz Hemmings and this is my son Luke. Luke this is Skylar"she says gesturing to the boy standing slightly behind her

I glanced over to the blond boy that I had not noticed before

"Hey",he said giving me a quick nod

I gave him a small wave before glancing down blushing. Why was I blushing all he said was hey it was an innocent gesture, but still I can't get over this weird feeling in my stomach that I got when he spoke to me. He seemed so... familiar

I shook my head clearing the thought out of my head before following Liz to her car, feeling a certain blue eyed boy's eyes on me.

*Authors Note* Soo that was chapter one of Saving Skylar which is my first ever Wattpad Story like ever so don't judge me if it turns out awful.
