Gulf's POV

The spring break started, Boat who came yesterday from abroad said he will visit after resting at his parent's place, Mew's family and mine already met and they got along pretty well for their first time, of course me and my soon-to-be fiancé were so nervous the whole meeting only smiling and answering questions if they ask us, the betrothal party was set for this Sunday at Mew's big house which is 5 days from now.

Since I have no classes, I got a lot of free time either the whole day or after evening since some of my shifts changed slightly during this break, I had a morning shift today so when I got back it was one after noon, I found Mew preparing the table for lunch

"oh you're back, go wash up quickly, the food will be ready soon" he said returning to the kitchen.

"I thought you will be back later" I said while we sat eating

"the meeting that was set for today was postponed because one of the head professors had a family emergency so I only took care of some paper work and got back" he explained, it's those at those moments, those little conversations, cooking food... all this makes me feel that we are really dating and this thought makes me blush a little for some reason

"btw, I got a call from Boat, he said he will come this evening and will stay over"

"you look so excited about his visit P' Mew" he smirked happily

"right after graduation, he left almost immediately to work there and we've never met again face to face since he didn't get any time to come visit me, he a very close friend and we lived through so much together especially in my studies in America" he looked ahead with a nostalgic gaze and smile

"I just hope that we will get along"

"I'm sure you will"

"Boat, I'm glad to see your face again!!!"

"missed you brother" the two boys hugged while I kept watching them

"happy to meet you Gulf" he smiled approaching me as we shook hands

"happy to meet you too P' Boat" during dinner, I was eating listening to them talking about their childhood memories and the time they spend together in the USA, they even mentioned a lot of unknown people and were laughing, honestly I felt completely left out, after that Mew excused himself to take a shower so I sat with the older friend watching TV

"hey Gulf, how are you feeling about getting engaged to your beloved man?" he asked out of the blue making me tense for a moment yet I quickly smiled shyly

"how do you think I feel? Of course I'm extremely happy that we will get betrothed but a little embarrassed to be honest" the grin he showed me at that moment was so fake that made me shocked, I mean his eyes weren't smiling at all, they were filled with... anger?

"I heard you got a long so well with his family right?" his serious tone was so intense, why did he change like this suddenly?

"yes, they are a very warm and kind family, they treat me so well like I'm their real son, I love them as much as I love mine" I answered frankly

"who was the one who confessed first?" good thing we prepared an answer for this question before

"it was Mew, he waited for me after my shift and took me for dinner then he told me that he loves me and that he wants us to start dating, I felt like I was on cloud nine when he did because I also loves him a lot too" his eyes got more furious than before, even his smile faded
