It was cold outside and Edmund was driving me home after one of his baseball games. He had newly fallen in love with the game, but was quickly becoming one of the best on our high school's team. He pulled into my driveway and put his car in park.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow...?" He said it like it was a question although he didn't mean to. He did this whenever he was nervous.
"Okay, babe." I smiled and leaned over to kiss him.
I went to my front door and unlocked it carefully. I shut it behind me and walked upstairs to my bedroom where far too much homework awaited. I opened my bedroom door and just as I was about to turn on my light, I noticed there was a small amount of light emitting for the corner of my eye.
Sitting on my bed was a beautiful display that showcased a piece of poster board that read: "It would light up my word if you would be my catch at" and written on five baseballs beneath that was "Prom?". I started crying, knowing this was Edmund's Promposal. He had put obvious work into this and had gotten Lucy's help to write the word's out because he had total Doctor's handwriting.
I heard someone clear their throat behind me and turned around to see Edmund standing in my doorway with red roses, my favorite. I grinned and ran to hug him.
"Of course I'll go with you." I laughed slightly.
