DRDT: Chapter 1 Part 2- First Motive

"No...this doesn't look fake, what about you Chizuru?" Replied Lucy who turns to Chizuru.

"I have seen my fair share of good fake pictures or articles, and this isn't one of them. These are all genuine, real images."

"Correct! In fact these are all images from your three years at this school, I simply took those memories away from you."

Everyone stood shocked at this revelation.

"Oh by the way, to answer you Rei, you were right to that I kidnapped you, but it wasn't so simple. One of the 16 of you actually came up with this plan and helped to kidnap you!" He shouts out triumphantly.

"WHAT?! You can't be serious! No way would that be true!" Nathan shouts out as he seems to refuse to believe this.

"Oh it is real, and here is where the motive truly comes in. As I vagued about before with the class trial. Once someone is found dead by three or more people, there will be an investigation and then a class trial to find out who the killer, or blackened is and then a vote will occur, if the majority is correct, then the blackened will be the only one executed, if wrong, everyone but the blackened will be executed."

Everyone seemed to understand the idea when it was explained, whether they wanted to or not but he wasn't finished.

"However, if when the body is found and it is the mastermind, there will be no class trial and everyone besides the victim will be let go then!"

That caused everyone to freeze up, a chance to get out if they kill the right person.

"Oh but only two people may be killed before a trial, so no killing everyone as a wild guess!" Monokuma's red eye glowed and it gave me a shiver down my whole body.

So not only was the revelation that three years worth of our memories and our life were taken away, not only the fact that someone was a traitor, but also that if the traitor was killed, then the killing game would be over.

"I'm sure you all have a lottttt to think about, so I must be going!" Then Monokuma disappears on us once again. The room was silent as there were some stares and no one spoke to one another and one by one, everyone just left and went to their own rooms to contemplate just what happened. As I got to my room and laid on the bed on the bed, I checked my E-book and noticed some new rules had been added.

1. Curfew will be in mandatory effect at 9 PM, and will end at 7 AM, so avoid remaining inside the cafeteria, library, and the gymnasium or you will be locked inside until curfew is over.

2. With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore the academy at your discretion.

3. Violence towards headmaster Monokuma is prohibited and will result in instant punishment.

4. Sleeping outside the dorms during curfew will count as 'skipping class,' and will result in punishment.

5. Students who commits a murder will become 'blackened, giving them the right to graduate from Hope's Peak Academy, given that they're not caught.

6. Unless a rule is broken, the headmaster will show no violence towards a student without reason.

7. The Hope's Peak Academy School Course will end when a maximum of two students remain. 

8. Once someone is found dead by three or more people, there will be an investigation that will take a necessary amount of time to determine all the evidence and testimory to help determine who the killer could be.

9. A class trial will commence to find out who the killer, or blackened is and then a vote will occur, if the majority is correct, then the blackened will be the only one executed, if wrong, everyone but the blackened will be executed.

I sighed at this and thought that, if someone was the traitor, who could it be? I had known some people better than others but I really couldn't imagine any of them to be a traitor to hurt their friends. Just as I was about to try to sleep, I found that there was a beep on my handbook and that Kaori had set up a group chat for everyone, which Carter, Rei, and Damien immediately left.

Kaori: Hey! I know everyone is upset and scared about what that dumb bear said, but we can't really believe anything it says and we have to be friends!

Nathan: YEAH! WE CAN GET ALONG! WE HAVE TO!

Kei: Nathan, are you shouting with the words or did you accidentally cap lock?

Nathan: Yikes, sorry!

Toshi: But what should we do?

Most everyone was still silent on the chat after that till I came up with something.

Adrian: Hey everyone! On the Monomono machine, I won a set of very diverse costumes as a full set, so how about we all have a costume party tomorrow to get our minds off this?

Kaori: Oh great idea! I could just kiss you right now if i could~

Adrian: W..w...wha?!

Kaylee: What are you saying Kaori?!

Kaori: Just kidding, you don't want me to step boundaries on your boyfriend do you Kaylee?~

Kaylee: He's not my boyfriend!!!

Adrian has left the chat

I just blush to myself as I lay on the bed, from the teasing nature of Kaori and Kaylee as well. I thought that this costume party would be good but hoped that Kaori would go low on the side, but if it would help everyone calm down, it would be worth it. Tomorrow would be the start of getting everyone to be friendlier and to not listen to Monokuma's words, we could all get through this and survive and get out of here....all 16 of us!!!
