After two whole days of hanging out with some of the ultimates and exploring more around the school, not much progress had been made in finding a way out of here. No matter how many times we search the place, we still can't find any clues to help us escape or the very least, why we're here in the first place. By this point...Carter, Mason, and Maria decided to give up on finding a way out... whether that would be from the pressure of the situation or the hopelessness that arised from it. Others like Rei and Damien seemed to either be indifferent or not caring about looking for a way out.
Yet I didn't want to give up and everyone else had roughly the same thought. We shouldn't give up hope, not yet! We kept searching the place top to bottom again and again and again, though we yet have to find even a shred of something useful to finding a way out of here.
But one thing that had been on my mind was something that I found out first when I started investigating: the metal grates surrounding the stairs that go to the next floor. Shutting out the windows and doors was one thing, but the stairs was something different. If the stairs were blocked off, then that must mean something really important is up there right? Maybe something useful we can use to escape or maybe even a clue! Though that was easier said then done with how strong material that these grates are. Nathan and Kei even tried to use a chainsaw to cut through it and it didn't work, though wondering why there would be chainsaw still here anyways was answered by Monokuma appearing,
"puhuhuhu, it is quite simple my dear students. A chainsaw could easily slice off one's limbs or even decapitate someone, so toodooloo!" Monokuma disappears just as quickly as he appeared, according to those two and if that thing said that so casually to me, I would be shivering from thinking about it. Those two boys decided to just sleep it off for a while.
So now on this day, the rest of us: Me, Chizuru, Lucy, Carlos, Kaylee, Kaori, Hoshi, Toga, and Cynthia all met on the cafeteria to talk it out some more on anything we could have found...sadly it was nothing new.
"For real? Nothing?" Chizuru asked, feeling slightly worried.
"Nothing of importance or new anyway," Toshi replied, sounding a bit annoyed, well I do understand how frustrating this could be with not finding anything useful to escape this place.
"Hey can we really not get those shutters open?" Kaori asked, well, asked while having her face stuffed with food.
"Nathan and Kei tried remember? Not even a chainsaw was able to break apart those metal grates." I sigh back at Kaori.
"And I still haven't been able to get much from the computers still." Lucy said, sighing as well.
"So much for being the ultimate hacker," mumbled Toga.
"Huh?! You got something you want to say then say it up front." Fired Lucy at Toga as Cynthia, who had seemed to gotten close to Toga these past few days, started to get into an argument with Lucy.
Tensions seemed to be brewing with how little progress there seemed to be now. "Back on topic!" Kaylee interrupted the three ladies and trying to change the topic a bit. "What is up with that bear thing? He only shows up during the morning and night announcements and when we seem to be pondering something and asked a question, whether out loud or to ourselves.
"Yeah, he just keeps appearing and disappearing in a single moment. Just how the hell does he do that?" Answered Carlos.
"Well I want to see that creepy thing as little as possible," Lucy added.
"Maybe he believes that we would wreck him bad if he stayed any longer than needed too?" Hoshi commented, as the rest of us pondered as Chizuru seemed to have an idea pop into her head.
