Mike
They sat at the bar in the kitchen looking at the envelope waiting for it to magically open its self.
Mike had never doubted that Nova was his but he was still nervous about what the paper would say.
Kiara didn't care to even open it but she was just here for Mike since he would have to call his family with the results.
She held Nova in her arms while she leaned against the kitchen counter allowing him to take his time, but the longer he waited the longer she felt like he was doubting her.
The thought of him doubting her child did make her feel some type of way but she tried to keep her composure.
"I'm going to go lay her down"nodding his head he watched her walk out the kitchen and grabbed the envelope off the counter.
Deciding to get it over with he tore it open and began to read over the paperwork as his eyebrows came together in confusion and he felt his heart fall to his ass.

He was hurt at first but the minute Kiara came in to the kitchen his hurt turned to anger.
"Soooo you opened it?"
Nodding his head he sat the paper work on the counter top and when Kiara got close enough to him he placed his hands around her neck pretending he was going in for a kiss but instead he began to choke her.
She began to fight for air but he didn't let go.
All he could think about was releasing all his anger out on her.
"Bro- MIKE WHAT THE FUCK!" His brother had walked in to tell him he got a package when he saw what was going on and rushed in the kitchen yanking Mike off of Kiara as she began to gasp for air.
"What the fuck is wrong with you? I thought y'all was good?"
"Ask her Lyin ass" listening to the sound of her gasp for air he began to walk off punching a hole in the kitchen wall when his brother saw the paper work on the counter top.
"Don't bother readin' it it say I ain't the father"
His brother ignored him sucking his teeth reading over the paper work including the small print at the bottom.

His brother shook his head before going on the website, by this time Kiara had pulled herself together and grabbed a water bottle before walking out the kitchen.
She just wanted to be alone, she knew his family was sneaky and she wanted no parts of it.
And the fact that he didn't second guess it at all, or even think let's retest or I know Kiara wouldn't lie to me. Made her heart shatter in to a million pieces.
So she did what she always did when she was hurt, she began to isolate herself.
She began packing a bag except for this time she packed Novas to.
