I leaned back in my chair, wincing at the creaking noise it made. I glanced at the digital clock sitting atop my desk, squinting to see the bright light clearly.
12:48 pm
I laughed softly under my breath, I forgot to sleep again. I cursed internally at my lack of melotonin gummies as I looked back to my computer to continue my work.
The screen displayed bright assortment of colors, swirling around one another to compliment the picture as a whole and create what seemed to be an infinite pattern. I shut off my computer, the colors had been starting to give me a headache.
I took off my headphones, setting them down on my desk, the small noise being the only thing to fill my ears in the deafening silence. I sat there for a second, wondering what my sleep schedule had become before standing up and making my way to my bed.
