Heart broken, shattered and unable to be garnered.

Tears loose, free of it's dam and flowing pass the lids that protected her puffy eyes.

Mind reminiscing, mulling and ruminating on memories that should remain as fragments of the past...

Memories of him who had left

Him who had caused her despair

Him who had torn her apart...

But despite his unfathomable disappearance, she still missed him, craved his presence like a child does its mother and cherishes the memories she had left of him as if they were rare gems or treasures.

Why did he have to leave? She'd often thought....

Why did he abandon her for that...?

It's no use, he'd already left, already been stashed away in that coffin for 2 years, 11 months, 3 weeks and 6 hours. . .yet she was still a widow wearing a suit of black.
