Y/n's pov

After receiving some acknowledgment and advice from Ayumi, I was a bit at ease. She left not right after, urging me that I go to bed soon.

I don't say it often, but I appreciate her. Everything that she has done. Being friends since middle school was one of the best facts that I was proud to say.

Gently, going back under my sheets. The dreariness soon made contact with my eyes. I slowly closed them, drifting away to whatever dream I was about to have. But it always made me wonder how I'm not able to remember them once I wake up.

"(Y/n)? What on earth is going on with you?"

The tears streaming down my face as I had a crumpled piece of paper in my hands. Only griping it even harder, as the harsh words fell off my father's tongue.

"Dating? What about those grades? You have a reputation." He glared.

"I'm sorry I just—" I choked on my words from my heavy breathing.

"I don't want to hear it, get your work done. I bet it's your mother who's encouraging you."

The rage that had enlightened inside me after hearing him mention my mother.

How dare he?

"If you even think you can continue this 'game' the door's over there, feel free to get out." He pointed, but I didn't even dare to look in that direction. I was disgusted at him.

"(Y/n), we should break up then..." Hinata shoved his hands into his pocket, leaving the classroom.

"N-No! Shouyou, wait!" But he was already gone. I looked down at my hands and realized that the paper I was crumbling with my grip was the exam.

That Hinata failed.

My eyes shot open. I quickly sat up, grasping my chest.

What on earth was that? A bad dream? I rub the tension and sleepiness from my eyes, checking the time.

6:57 am

"I have to get ready for school soon..." I muttered under my breath.

Still feeling a bit tense, I didn't get up from my bed yet. "It was just a dream my dad isn't that harsh. And I'm sure Hinata won't fail either." I tried putting in some effort into cheering myself up.

It didn't work well. I sighed. Now finally removing myself from the covers.

(Time skip to this weekend)

"What's on your mind?" Shouyou laid down on the grass, with a volleyball, tossing it above him. I couldn't help but marvel at his coordination, he rarely missed, and when the ball was off, he always reached it without moving even a little.

Thinking back to the dream I had, I felt the sweat trickle down from the back of my neck. Out of every single dream I've had. Why do I have to remember this one?

"What makes you ask that?" I motioned my hands so he could stand up and sit next to me. "It's getting colder isn't it? You shouldn't lay down there." I chuckled.

"You've been quiet. I hope you're not feeling awkward over my confession a while ago." Shouyou scratched the back of his head.

"Not at all, it's just, what do you think about people knowing that we're going out?" I rubbed my palms together trying to warm up my hands. Not responding, he took my hands and interlaced them with his. Trying to warm them up instead.

"Hmm well, I don't care! I think it's cool." He snickered.

I smiled. It was nice knowing that he isn't stressing over it. My cheeks were a shade of pink from the hand holding though. Not that I don't mind. Feels nice to spend some time that isn't dedicated to some sort of academic work.

"What about you (Y/n)?"

Well there's a question to actually think about.

"Actually..." I drifted off. "I think keeping it a secret would be best." I mumbled.

"Okay."

"Really?" I got a bit closer to him.

"Pfft. Well, whatever you think is best. I'll support it. Either way, as long as I still have you. I don't care!" He grinned. It felt like the sun was right in front of me.

"But you know we do have to tell everyone one day. Like family..." I shuddered saying the word 'family'.

"Yeah! I'm sure my mom would be happy to see you."

"Mine too." I had a sad smile. But I was still worried about my dad's reaction.

He took noticed of my sudden expression change and let go of my hands. Lowering his face to meet with mine. He stared into my e/c orbs with concern.

"Is there something really wrong (Y/n)? You know I'm here!" It look like he hesitated at first but continued, quickly pecking my lips.

"Woah, your lips are soft..." Hinata pouted. I couldn't help but laughed. It was an eventful week. But after being with him. The world sort of disappeared for a moment.

"Well I had a dream, a bad one if I'm being clear."
