"Well, it might be fun. But it would be bringing a lot of attention to myself. I'm not sure if that's something I'd be interested in. Plus, I don't really like the idea of drawing my Swords unless I really needed to."

"Nyx mentioned some dragons that she knows that would probably love to sword fight with you. Orenda also mentioned that her cousins both have Swords of Power themselves."

"Like I said, I don't know." Sylvia shrugged, leaning back into the couch a bit more. "It would be fun, but I also don't really want to show off. Kai was probably roped into a fight by Nyx or something, but that seems pretty cool."

Evania scratched the back of her neck. "I know that you don't want people to know you're King Arthur's daughter, but just because you're good in a fight doesn't make you any greater than anyone else."

Sylvia reached over and placed her palm to Evania's cheek with a smile. "How I wish I held the same mentality."

Evania rolled her eyes and swatted her hand away.

"Growing up, I was the King's daughter, and I was taught that the man with the most power is the one who's going to rule. Even when I lived in Exodious it was the same. My mother raised me and my siblings with the same mindset, and most demons follow it like a law. The strongest person in the room makes the rules."

"That's not how it works here."

"Obviously, otherwise Kai would probably be running this school." Sylvia chuckled. "It's just something I grew up with so it's always sitting there in my head. If I start showing off how powerful I am- which isn't really that powerful -I'm just putting myself on a pedestal for no real reason. At least in my mind."

"Do you like fighting?"

"I like sparring. Not fighting."

"So you enjoy sparring then?"

"Yeah. I always had a lot of fun with it."

"Then you should do what makes you happy, regardless of what other people will think of you. If you think you're going to have fun with it, then do it. Who knows, maybe blowing off steam will help with headaches or something."

"Or give me another concussion." Sylvia offered.

"The arena is enchanted. When you step out of it it heals all the wounds inflicted while inside it." Evania smiled. "Even if you kill someone, or someone else kills you the arena protects you. Though it's strongly encouraged to not murder your opponant."

"I wasn't planning on killing people." Sylvia rolled her eyes. "I guess it just depends. We'll have to see about it."

"I just want you to be happy and to have fun." Evania confessed.

"Well, if my treasure wants me to show off a bit I guess I'll have to. Plus, maybe if I crack a few skulls people will know better than to mess with my girlfriend." Sylvia smiled.

"I guess we'll find out."

---

Sylvia exhaled deeply, her sword feeling a little heavy in her hand. Her opponent adjusted their footing, preparing their stance for an attack. Sylvia saw the movement before they even went through with it. She saw the slight lean forward, onto their left foot, and before they even started their swing Sylvia had prepared to counter it.

The metal swords scrapped off each other with Sylvia blocking the swing while also forcing all their weight off their normal stance, preventing them from keeping their footing as their sword dragged across Sylvia's, only for her to spin, removing the resistance entirely practically throwing them onto the ground.

Vanessa picked herself up and pulled the fencing mask off her face, tossing it to the floor with a grumble. "Look, I'm all for practicing and shite, but maybe pick someone who actually knows how to use a sword! I feel like you're just playing games with me!"

Sylvia shrugged, still wearing her usual clothing as she faced Vanessa who had wisely chosen to wear the fencing armor as she sparred with the succubus. Zali, Kai and Evania were sitting off to the side with Kai skimming through a book on her lap while Zali and Evania watched with interest.

The succubus rested her sword on her shoulder with a smile. "I asked you if this was something you'd want to do and you agreed."

"I didn't think I would be the training dummy!" Vanessa snapped.

Focus on Sylvia's mind and read it. You're a vampire Vanessa, use it. You can tap into her muscle memory. That was the whole point to this, remember. Evania called.

"If that's the case then why don't you come over here!? You're linked to her aren't you? Doesn't that mean you can just think about it and suddenly you know how to swing a sword?" Vanessa growled.

"That's the problem though." Zali rolled her eyes. "As we already explained to you twice now, Evania and Sylvia would both be reading each other's minds and that means they'd be blocking and parrying their own attacks. It's probably not a good idea to have two people who share a brain fighting each other for practice purposes."

Vanessa growled and gripped her sword again, taking an offensive stance as she faced Sylvia.

Focus on her mind Ness. You can take the things she knows and apply it to yourself. Like copy and pasting the files in her head to yours. Evania explained.

Vanessa seemed to like that example best as her eyes turned red. Sylvia could feel the familiar presence of a vampire snooping around in her mind, not unlike her own sister's influence creeping through her memories. She couldn't tell which specific memories were plucked, but she watched as Vanessa's stance slowly shifted.

She went from an aggresive stance, looking like she was ready to rush forward as she held the sword in two hands in front of her, to a much more defensive one. Leaning back a bit and bracing herself lower to the ground a bit more, though she still gripped the sword in two hands.

Sylvia gripped the sparring sword in one hand like she had done so a thousand times. She moved so the sword was barely behind her but mostly at her side, like she was about to swing it upward as she slowly began lowering herself into a crouched stance, the weapon slowly moving farther backwards. She watched as Vanessa was slowly lowering herself as well, preparing to dart forwards.

Vanessa dashed forwards first but her speed wasn't at it's best with the seal currently on her finger. She was still very fast, but managable for the succubus. As expected she slashed upwards, trying to swat away Vanessa's blade. This time wasn't as easy however, as the vampire pressed forward as she swung from the side, their sword's clashing hard as Vanessa pushed Sylvia a few feet back before the succubus side stepped in an attempt to throw her off balance.

Instead, Vanessa's foot hit the ground hard, bracing herself quickly and allowing herself to swing again almost instantly. Thankfully Sylvia did not lower her weapon, and saw the movement before it happened. She brought her sword back up in another attempt to swat away Vanessa's weapon. The swords clashed a few more times before both parties leapt back a bit to catch their breath.

"That was more like it." Sylvia grinned. "That wasn't so hard was it?"

"You need to fight in the arena." Vanessa snapped. "I'm not always going to be your punching bag."

"But you are for now." Sylvia grinned before dashing forwards once more.
