Dean Pov

My eyes opened slowly as I woke from a deep sleep. My heart began to sink from my chest when I looked next to me and realized y/n is no longer there. It's my fault too. We have been together for four years and it's honestly been the best four years of my life. Every moment spent with her felt surreal. It surprised me every day that I got to wake up next to her.

Two days ago we broke up and she claims it's because I'm too overprotective and never let her breathe. She told me she wants a break but we all know what that's code for. God I miss her. We haven't spent no more than a day apart. And I completely understand where she's coming from when she says that. I'm overprotective and need to give her some space.

She decided to take a hunt all the way in Montana just to get a break from us. She called Sam last night saying she'd be back in a few days. Once she does come back we should talk and sort this all out. I'm definitely giving her more space and doing everything I can to make sure this relationship works. She's worth everything and I'm willing to give her just that.

Once getting out of bed and getting dressed I headed into the kitchen to get some coffee. The moment I stepped into the room Sam and Cas gave me apologetic and saddened looks. A frown formed on my face as I headed over to the coffee pot. "What's got you two so down?" I asked them as I poured me a cup of coffee.

"Dean you should sit down," Sam began and my frown turned into confusion. I looked between the two of them wanting answers. "Tell me what's wrong." I demanded. A sigh escaped from Sam's mouth as Cas began to speak up.

"Dean it's y/n...she died last night." He let out sadly. My heart stopped beating in my chest as the mug dropped from my hands, shattering all over the floor.

"We have a hunter friend up in Montana who found her body working on the same case. I'm so sorry." Sam told me.

"No, no, no. I'm dreaming, I'm still asleep." I let out barely above a whisper.

"Dean I-" Sam started but I immediately cut him off.

"No! She isn't gone because we haven't made up!" I yelled before the room fell to silence. "Son of a bitch!" I yelled angrily as tears formed in my eyes. There's no way I just lost the love of my life. There's so much I haven't gotten to tell her. I never got a goodbye. It's not fair.

Cas stood from his seat and came over to me, giving me an assuring hug. I hugged him back as tears poured down my cheeks. "I-I can't...Cas I can't do this. She had to die alone, without me." I whispered. He only tightened the hug as my heart broke inside me. After receiving the awful news I went back into my room and began packing a bag. I'm going to Montana and getting her. I'm bringing her back, I have too.

I suddenly stopped packing and sat down on the bed. After a moment of silence I looked up. "Please Chuck, please bring her back. I've never met someone like her before, never felt that way about someone before but she's different. I'm begging you with everything I have to bring her back." When I realized he isn't going to answer my prayer I wiped my cheeks and finished packing.

"I'm coming baby, I'm going to bring you back to me." I whispered before leaving.
