Y/n Pov

A sigh left my mouth watching Jack stress himself out. About two months ago Lucifer killed me in hopes to get under Jack's skin and it worked. Last month I came back from the dead, surprise, surprise, and ever since then, Jack has devoted his time to finding and taking down Lucifer once and for all. Honestly, that's all in the past and I just want to spend time with my boyfriend.

Seeing him so upset and stressed makes me feel the exact same way. He doesn't realize how much energy and effort he's putting into finding Lucifer. Not to mention that Lucifer is a man that's hard to find. You would never find him unless he wanted you to. With the life that I live, I've grown to understand that it's best to leave certain things in the past and move forward.

That's what I'm trying to do here but Jack refuses to give this up. We're currently in the library sitting at the table while he searches. I'm only reading a book to pass the time while he does that. Plus the Winchester's left for a case yesterday and won't be back for a few days. Then Cas went in search of some things for a spell he's trying to use. He asked Rowena for help and she agreed.

That just leaves Jack and me to sit here. "We should go get some food or something," I suggested, hoping it would get him to leave that computer for an hour or two. He shook his head no and looked up at me for only a second.

"Maybe later." Is all the answer I got before he got back to work. Finally, I groaned annoyed and stood to my feet. He watched as I closed his computer and gave me a look of confusion. "Y/n what are you doing?" He asked.

"Trying to spend time with my boyfriend! Now let's go," I ordered him. He reluctantly followed me as I grabbed my keys and we left the bunker. The drive fell silent until I spoke up. "See, isn't this better than spending your time on that silly computer?" I asked.

"Not really." He shook his head no. I rolled my eyes and continued to drive. I'm trying to make this fun to show him it's better to spend time together than worry about something I've shoved in the past. "Y/n can we please go back home?" He begged.

"Jack I want to spend time with you. Just give this a chance," I looked over at him and saw the sad look on his face. He agreed and I smiled. We soon pulled up to a small diner in town and made our way inside. Once taking our seats the two of us looked through the menu to see what we wanted.

"Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with you but he needs to pay for what he did to you," Jack admitted to me. I looked up at him and gave a soft smile.

"I'm okay but thank you. I love you." I assured him.

"You're brave and I love you too." He smirked at me.

We finally ordered our food and it came not too long after. We had fun for the first time in two months. We talked, ate, then enjoyed a really good sundae. Afterward, we went home and he refrained from using the computer or trying to find Lucifer. Instead, he sat with me and we watched a movie together. He held my body close to his as we snuggled up under a blanket.

This is all I wanted from him. Just to stop and take a breath for a minute. We ended up spending the rest of the night watching movies before falling asleep in each other's arms. This was a day well spent. I'm happy to have Jack and wouldn't have it any other way.
