OUR FAMILIES had found out Johnny and I had started dating-it felt like a fairytale come true. I was getting ready to go to his football game with Lauren and Hayley. I threw on Johnny's sweatshirt-it was really cute. It had his last name on the back and our college on the front.
"You ready,Anns?" Lauren asked,as I nodded. "Could we get ice cream after?" Hayley asked,as we got in my car. "On Annie!" Lauren exclaimed,as we all laughed.
We had gotten to the field,and the players got to come to their families before they played. "Hi." I said to him,as he picked me up. "Hi,love bug." He said to me,as I buried my head in his neck. I finally got him to put me down as I gave him a pep talk.
"Babe?"
"Yes."
"You're going to do great,okay? I love you so much."
"I love you more."
"Go and win this thing." I said,planting a kiss on his lips as I ran back to the bleachers. Lauren and I had gotten some snacks from the snack department and we were waiting. "Kind of crazy how everything is ending up." She said.
"You're right. Never would've thought Johnny and I would've ended together."
"Me neither,"she said with a smile,as I put my head on her shoulder.
"You,cold?" I asked Hayley,as we got the snacks and handed them to her. I had seen her shivering.
I took off Johnny's sweatshirt as I gave it to her and she smiled. "But-"
"It's okay."
"Oh my gosh!We won!"Lauren shouted,as I looked at Johnny celebrating with his team. He pretty much won the whole game for them by throwing in the last touchdown shot. He then looked at me and signaled for me to come down on the field. I felt raindrops fall on my head as it started to rain. I almost slipped onto the grass,until he caught me. "Hi,clumsy kid." He said to me. "Does this make you feel nostalgic again?"
"The day I fell down your stairs."I said softly to him,as he picked me up and gave me a kiss on my lips as I raised my leg.
It truly felt like a fairytale ending.
