I drove as fast as I can to get there. After ng phone call ay umalis agad ako. My mind was full of thoughts while I'm on my way. Is he going to be arrested? Is someone accusing him for crime he did not commit?

Pagkapasok na pagkapasok ko sa building nila ay may babaeng sumalubong sa akin. Ito ata iyong secretary ni Echo. Hindi ko maitatanggi na maganda ang kaniyang mukha at ang hubog ng kaniyang katawan.

"Attorney Florentino?" Tanong niya nang makalapit ako sa kaniya.

"Yes."

"Kanina pa po kaya hinihintay ni Mr. Echo Salvatore. Follow me, atty.," She replied at naunang maglakad sa akin kaya sumunod nalang ako. Sumakay kami sa elevator at hindi ko maiwasang ayusin ang sarili ko.

The elevator opened at information desk pa sa gilid at hallway. I'm getting the vibes from Fifty Shades of Grey, huh? Pinagbuksan ako ng secretary ni Echo so I thanked her before entering his office.

His office was huge! Mas malaki pa ata sa sala namin sa bahay. Kitang kita ang view sa labas dahil sa glass wall. White, black and brown ang theme ng office niya. Nadatnan ko siyang naka upo sa swivel chair niya na kagat-kagat ang pen na hawak niya habang may binabasa.

He looked right at me when he heard the door closed. Napangisi siya habang kagat parin ang dulo ng pen. Umupo ako sa single couch na nasa tapat ng desk niya.

"What happened, Echo?" I asked using my serious voice. Tinitigan ko siya at hinintay siyang magsalita. 

"I miss you," He whispered softly at tumayo. Lumapit siya sa akin bago umupo sa couch na katapat ko.

"Echo," I warned him. He chuckled and took a deep breath before speaking.

"My ex-wife would accuse me of rape if I will not pay her any money," He started. Kumunot agad ang noo ko dahil sa narinig. So all this time kaya hindi kami nagkikita dahil inaayos niya 'tong problema sa ex wife niyang siraulo?

"Why didn't you call me right away? Dapat talaga kinasuhan na natin siya ng adultery noon," Giit ko at napasinghap. "Wait, bakit siya nagpapabayad ng pera?" I asked, not letting him speak. 

"Their business is sinking. The Velez were dad's friend since he started his business. Tita Antoinette Velez recommended us to have an arranged marriage with her daughter, Heidi. After months of wedding, I caught her seeing this Liam guy and he admitted that they already seeing each other before our engagement," He explained. I can see his eyes were burning in anger.
