“Want to get out of here? You don’t want to stay at work after work… It’s boring.” He murmured.

“Where would we go?” She asked with a smile, already slinging her purse and coat over her shoulder.

“We could go to my hotel room.” He whispered leaning closer to her as he did.

“Lead the way, Mr. Irwin.” She said with a grin as she stood up.

“Call me Ashton, babe.” He said with an equally big grin, his arm wrapping around her waist as he led her towards the elevators in the lobby. “What can I call you?”

“Bethanny… But you can definitely call me Bee.” She said.

“Like the insect?” He said with a smirk.

“And every time, it never fails… The joke is always made.” She said, her voice laced with laughter. She had a pretty laugh. Not every girl has a pretty laugh. Most of them are annoying. But not Mia… Mia also had a pretty laugh. He loved that laugh. He missed that laugh. Now that jerk had that laugh.

“Do you want a drink? Don’t have beer but we definitely have some vodka or whiskey somewhere.” Ashton said as he opened his room door for her. If she didn’t want a drink, he did. He needed it.

“Sure…” She said as she set her things down and began to look around the room.

“Make yourself at home.” He said with a smile before he made his way towards the bathroom cabinet to find the hidden bottle of alcohol. He poured two cups and made his way towards her. His already half way full by the time he had reached her.

“Place is a lot cleaner than I thought it would be.” She said with a mocking tone.

“Well… We just got here so.” He said, raising an eyebrow at her before he grabbed the bottle to pour himself some more. His body sitting down next to her own on the couch.

“You know alcohol doesn’t fix everything…” She pointed out, her eyes peering at him from the rim of her glass as she took another small drink.

“Well it makes me forget.” He said.

“There are other ways you can forget you know…” She said, her drink set down before she climbed on top of his lap. She took his drink away and set it aside, her lips going down to his neck.

Ashton felt himself hum softly at the sensation of lips against his skin, his hands trailing up her thighs to rest on her hips. It had been too long.

His long fingers edged under the fabric of her shirt, bringing her closer to him as she kissed along his jaw. He simply closed his eyes and enjoyed the feeling.

“I was right, wasn’t I?” She whispered against his ear.

“Shhh… Don’t talk.” He whispered, his eyes opening and looking at her before he closed the distance between them. The sounds of their lips moving together in the drunken kiss slowly began to fill the room. His hands resting inside her shirt, splayed out against the warm skin of her back.

“What if your band comes?” She murmured against his lips, her teeth capturing his bottom lip for a few seconds before letting it go. She had already removed his shirt and he had taken hers.

“They won’t care… Probably will all stay in the other room knowing I’m upset…” He said before trying to press his lips against hers again but she pulled back.

“Well I care.” She said softly, her hands running over his chest.

He licked his lips before he chuckled, picking her up with her legs wrapped around him. His lips began to bite and kiss the length of her neck as he made his way towards his bed, setting her on her feet at the edge of it; his eager hands unbuttoning her pants as he continued to kiss her skin.

“You know Mia?” She asked, her sudden question making him stiffen and pull back all together.

“What?” He asked, his hazel eyes wild as he looked at her. She simply lifted her hand and pointed towards the wall, the taped Polaroid and pictures that were there. He had only wanted to place the ones of his family, a reminder that he would be home soon but he ended up adding the Polaroid of them at the beach.

“Umm yeah, we’re friends. Met back in LA.” He murmured with a sigh as he sat down at the edge of the bed. So much for forgetting…

“Oh…” She whispered before she pushed his hands away from his face and sat back down on his lap. “She’s the reason for the girl problem isn’t she?” She asked, her hands caressing the nape of his neck; fingers tangling in his hair gently.

“How do you know Mia?” He asked, ignoring her question all together.

“It doesn’t matter.” She whispered with a smile, her lips pressing against his again but he held her hips firmly and pulled back.

“It matters to me. How. Do. You. Know. Her?” He asked her, his jaw clenched as he said every word slowly.

“She’s roommates with my friend, Lilly.” She said softly, caressing his jaw softly. “Come on Ashton… I thought we were having fun and you wanted to forget.”

“I can’t do this.” He said, lifting her off his lap and going back to the living room for the drink she had made him forget about.

“Come on, we were having fun!” She said, following him. He tossed her her shirt and poured himself another drink.

“Leave, I don’t want to anymore.” He said, his voice somber as he slurred the words.

“I can make you forget her…” Bee said, holding the shirt tightly in her hands.

“I highly doubt that.” He shot back and watched her as she angrily got dressed again and grabbed her things, angrily walking towards the door. He quickly grabbed her wrist before she reached the door knob. “But before you go… I need a favor first…” He whispered.
