Chapter 4 ~ I Do or I Don't

Molly returned from the base a lot later than she was expecting to. She kicked off her boots at the door, walking through to the kitchen. She refilled her water bottle before putting it back into the fridge tomorrow. She had been asked to cover the same class tomorrow. Taking her backpack into her office, she pulled out her laptop, setting it on her desk before plugging it in to charge. She the booted it up and pulled the quizzes out of her bag to mark. She quickly looked over her emails before marking the quizzes. It didnt take her long to finish them off before putting them back into her backpack.

As she was answering emails she heard Charles slowly making his way downstairs. She quickly got up and closed her office door quietly not wanting for him to hear. She really didnt want to face him right now. She didnt have much more work to do, but she just sat there, because she didnt want to face him, she didnt want to get lied to again.

She was sitting in her chair leaning back with her eyes closed when she heard her phone vibrate on her desk, opening her eyes she saw Georgies names on the screen. She picked it holding it up to her ear.

Please say you have something that can put a smile of oy face. Molly said letting out an exhale.

oh no that does not sound like a person that got engaged not long ago. Georgie said letting out a small chuckle.

Okay, what I am about to tell you cannot be repeated to anyone, not even Elvis. Okay? Molly said in a whisper.

Why are you whispering? she asked.

I found divorce papers in the top of Charles draw in his office. Molly told her in a whisper.

Youre not even married, and he is already wanting to get divorced? Georgie said in slight shock.

There not for me you twat. They were for Rebecca. I asked him about them this morning and he couldnt even tell me.

are you serious, do you want me to turn Elvis on him, I am more than happy to.

No, its okay, I just dont really want to talk to him about it right now, so I am currently sitting in my office trying to avoid him. I really dont want to be here right now, and I dont want to face him. She told Georgie, trying to hold back tears.

Molly listen to me, you will be fine, it is all going to be okay. You want to know why? Because he loves you, and I am sure there is a reasonable explanation for all of this, and I am sure it is just a bit of a miss understanding. So, what you are going to do, is your going to walk out of your office, go upstairs, have a shower and go to bed, in the morning you are going to talk to him a figure it out.

Molly blew out a breath before answering. She talked to Georgie for a little bit longer before hanging up. She slowly walked up the stairs before having a shower and quietly slipping into bed, Charles was already in bed, but she didnt know whether or not he was asleep. It didnt take her long to drift off though.

It didnt feel like she was asleep very long before her alarm was going off, she quickly turned it off, so it didnt wake Charles, because at this point she still didnt want to have to face him. She walked into the bathroom, having a quick shower, before slipping into her Army gear, tucking in her shirt and putting her belt around her waist. She braided her hair before brushing her teeth and slipping back into the bedroom before walking out and back down the stairs. She had to be at the base early today, so it was still dark by the time she made her way down the stairs.

She walked into her office and packed up all of her things into her backpack before walking into the kitchen, she made herself a tea to take in the road, and threw into her bag a granola bar and banana, and grabbed her water bottle out of the fridge also putting it into her backpack. She walked trough to the front of the house.
