It really was nice to speak to Sasuke again. It's really been a long time since he talked to anyone he had a previous connection to.
Well, he had been actively avoiding them so it was understandable why.
After all the trouble he went through to get them off his tail, he wasn't gonna go and ruin it now. (He was already closer to his goals, more so now than ever.)
And he was even more confident on achieving them, especially with the Raven-Fox duo back together. Karasu-Kitsune, or team Karaki...
A title that was given to both him and Sasuke, for being the most promising and powerful ninja of their generation. It's funny how both of them were no longer with the Leaf Village now.
Well, at least for the moment.
Hopefully.
Now, they were planning on making it inside Konoha's walls undetected in an infiltration mission... and perhaps taking down a certain root of some of their problems before leaving again.
Naruto sighed and stood up to stretch his arms. He was currently sitting above the cave entrance to their 'office' or 'meeting' place of sorts in the mountains. Sasuke should be here in a few minutes before they had to set out again for their newest mission.
He sat down again as he focused his gaze at a nearby flower.
Huh, he'd be back in the Leaf village in a bit. Well, after he was finished going over their plan of action while they were back in Konoha. Naruto huffed out a small laugh. As much as they say that this had been planned out, they're probably going to be winging this anyways.
Well, with the Harashin jutsu, it would probably make things easier. All he could do was hope that they don't run into trouble while they were in there.
Now he was laid down his his back, hands outstretched in front of him.
You think it's okay we're going back so early?
Naruto could sense the fox snickering.
It's been two years, that amount of time means absolutely nothing to me.
Jerk.
Naruto then realized he could sense Sasuke's presence, and not a second later, the said person landed right next to Naruto.
"Hey, dobe."
"Oi don't call me that." He muttered, albeit half-heartedly. "You ready?"
At a tug of the signature black cloak as Sasuke adjusted the hood around his neck, and pulling a black bird mask onto his face, Sasuke gave Naruto a curt not.
"Let's go."
