CHAPTER 30

"I'm sorry, Ackley."

I looked down as I uttered those words. Hays, kanina pa ako nagpa-practice rito how will I tell it to Ackley. Yes, I already chose between Ackley and Kaid. And another yes, I already told Kaid about it. Hindi naman siya nagalit. He even told me that he is willing to give me up if Ackley ang pipiliin ko.

Kaya ito ako ngayon, nagha-handa para mamaya. Two weeks na rin kasi ang lumipas after I knew it was Ackley. Well, I can't say thing went smoothly as it should be. Hindi kami nagka-usap ni Ackley. Sa shooting lang kami nagu-usap, and it was so awkward!

Kaid spend the first one week with me, dating. On the second week, he gave me a whole time to think. Wala akong ginawa sa buong linggo na iyon kung hindi ang mag-isip.

The door of my room swang open at nakita kong pumasok si Lynn. "So, are you ready now, Dari?" she asked me after she sat on my bed.

Yup, I also told her, even to Allairy, sinabi ko na rin. I sighed. "Not yet, Lynn." I'm super nervous right now! My hands were shaking at parang walang balak huminto. 

Lumapit siya sa akin, and got the brush. She started brushing my hair from the back. I tried to stop her, but she insisted. "This can help you relax. Think about it right now, at kahit ano pa 'yang magiging desisyon mo, I will still support you, Dari. Hindi lang bilang kaibigan mo, kung hindi bilang parang kapatid mo na rin. Besides, I will really be your sister-in-law soon," she said.

I laughed at it. Kaya I really love Lynn kasi ganito siya ka-supportive sa akin. Well, it's alo vice versa. Miss ko na rin 'yung times na ganito. Yup, she would brush y hair before, at kapag napagod na siya, ako naman ang papalit. 

Kahit sinong makakakita sa amin, he or she will immediately think that we are siblings.

"Thank you, Lynn," I smiled.

"Don't thank me, Dari, kasi kahit ano namang mangyari, I will still really be this supportive to you. That's how siblings should be, right? Isa pa, alam ko namang you are also supportive to me and to your brother slash my future boyfriend," she chuckled. 

At dahil in-open naman na niya 'yung tungkol sa kanila, I guess it's time to ask. "Lynn, I have a question." I got the brush from her and faced her. "Dati ko pa kasi gustong tanungin ito." I took a deep breath first. "Do you have a relationship with my brother already?"

She blankly stared at me for a second before laughing. Napahiga pa nga siya sa kama ko dahil sa sobrang pagtawa niya. She got up, and unbelievably looked at me. "Are you serious, Dari? Grabe ka naman, I know that you're so supportive, pero sorry to dissapoint you, we're not yet in a relationship. Sabi ko nga kanina, 'slash future boyfriend', e," she told me.

"I heard that one, pero I saw you with him before at the back of your house kaya I conclude na baka may relasyon na kayong dalawa. Sorry, I was wrong."

She wiped away the tears na tumulo dahil sa pagtawa niya. "No, no, don't be sorry, Dari. Okay lang 'yun. But where did you get what you just told me?" Ngayon, seryoso na siya.

My forehead twitched. "Katulad ng sinabi ko, I saw you with Dalton at the back of your house one time noong sinundan ko siya. I'm so sure that it was you, Lynn," I told her. Hindi talaga ako puwedeng magkamali kasi I'm sure na si Lynn talaga 'yon.

She slowly shook her head. "It wasn't me."

"Butㅡ"

Before I can even finish my sentence, tumayo na siya at lumapit sa pinto. "I'll go now, Dari, nakalimutan kong I still have some matters to do." Is it just me or she really is mad based on her tone? Para kasing biglang nag-iba 'yung mood niya.
