CHAPTER 3

"Wake up, Dariantha. Nandito na tayo."

Nagising ako nang marinig ko ang mahing tapik sa pisngi ko. I did not realize I fell asleep. Hapon na rin naman kasi when the shooting finished. When we got out from Kaid's car, Ackley, Lynn, and Dalton were already waiting for us.

I roam around my gaze at napagtantong nasa isang hotel kami rito sa Batangas. We already went here before pero hindi na naulit pa because it's pretty far away from our houses.

"Why are we here, Lynn? Are we gonna hang out here?" I asked her, and she nodded bilang sagot.

"Na-miss ko rin kasi ito, Dari. Don't worry, I paid for it already even before we came," she smiled. "I already planned this noong isang araw pa lang kasi. We can relax here. There weren't too many people, so maybe, hindi na nila tayo makikilala." She even laughed a bit.

We went inside and just like what Lynn told us, bayad na niya kaya binigay na nila sa amin 'yung susi ng dalawang room.

Pupunta na sana kami sa elevator when we heard a shout, causing us to turn to the person who caused that sound. "Saglit lang po!" A girl who looks like a teenager approached us. "Big fan niyo po akong lahat, lalong-lalo na po ni Kuya Ackley! Pwede po bang makahingi ng autograph?" Mukha pa siyang kinikilig when he looked at Ackley.

Binigay niya 'yung papel kay Ackley before the latter gave it to me. Pinirmahan ko 'yon at binigay ko na kay Kaid who's smiling at me. She really looks like a big fan of Ackley kasi nagpa-picture pa siya rito, but only with himm though.

When we got in the elevator, nagsalita si Ackley. "I though no one will notice us here, Lynn?"

The latter laughed. "Sabi ko, not too many people, I didn't say no one will notice us.At saka, it's because we didn't even wear a cap."

"Magsusuot kang cap, e, gabi na. Siraulo ka ba, Lynn? O siraulo lang?" sabat ni Kaid na pinandilatan ng mata ni Lynn.

"Just shut up, will you? Saka, what you said were just both the same. Hindi ako 'yung siraulo kasi ikaw 'yung siraulo. Siraulo kayㅡ"

She didn't finish her sentence nang takpan ni Kaid ang bibig niya. He whispered something to her before letting go. Lynn went near me habang nakangisi kay Kaid. Even if I don't know what's happening, hindi ko na lamang sila pinansin, palagi naman silang ganiyan.

Actually, si Kaid, kay Ackley lang siya hindi ganyan. Because if it's Ackley, he's always in his serious mode, pero kapag sa amin naman, playful mode.

Bumukas na 'yung elevator at nasa pinakamataas na floor kami, 30th floor. Napa-hawak ako kay Ackley nang may bumungad sa aming bintana. I have Acrophobia that's why I'm super afraid of heights.

Last time kasi, sa 10th floor lang kami that's why I'm not that scared, but now, we're super high. He held me nang muntik na akong matumba. Umayos naman ako ng tayo and fixed myself.. "Sorry, Ackley."

Ngumiti siya. "Ano ka ba, okay lang, Dariantha. I know you have Acrophobia. Just close your eyes, then let me guide you." I obeyed him and closed my eyes. Nag-inhale exhale pa ako bago ko naramdaman 'yung kamay niya sa balikat ko. After a few minutes, he removed his grip. Thus, I opened my eyes.

"Thank you, Ackley."

"Anything for my half-sister." Ginulo niya 'yung buhok ko that he always keep on doing.

I entered the room on the left before Lynn followed me. Sa kabila naman 'yung tatlo. "Hays, does Dalton already has a girlfriend, Dari?" she turned to me.

"I think meron because he said he had a date earlier before he came to us. Why, Lynn? You like my brother, huh?" I smirked, the teasing one. Sabi nila mabait ako pero ang totoo, mahilig din akong mang-asar, especially if it's my friends na inaasar ko.
