For Mabon, Hecate always fills her altar with fresh harvest from the garden. Pumpkins, corn, and apples from the tree behind her house. She spreads colorful leaves which bring the smell of autumn. The candle, lit during sunrise, burns for the day, opening the doors to the harvest deities.
It also brings the oldest gods to her doorstep. Gods that have been forgotten by most of humanity. They'll stay beyond their welcoming. Mischief, chaos, sometimes blood is spilled. People go missing, the homeless at first. Then joggers, hikers, children who wander from their parent's side. The old ones take them all.
