Chapter 29:Demon-apocalypse (2)

"Aurora?" I hear that familiar voice call but there's anger in his voice "Hey Suga" I smile, "What-- did you just call me suga?"

"I don't know, first I was in the North Pole now demons are bitting me so I don't know" he stares at me strangely but his expression changes to anger "Why aren't you with the other women?" He yells I throw my dagger at a demon that tried to attack Xanthus it hits the demon on its chest and just like the rest it disintegrates. "Lilith organized the attack" I yell over the noise. Ashes are on the floor along with burnt homes and stores.

"Really? That explains why she disappeared for the past one month, but why?" He destroys a demon, I'm impressed by the way he destroys the demons without having to change into his form. "I don't know, these demons won't stop until they die they must have been ordered to fight to death" I stab another demon "You need to go back" he faces me, "You want me to go back by myself? Or would you rather I stay here within your sight" he groans I smile when I realize I win.

"Don't leave my sight and I'm serious!" I clap, a demon slashes Xanthus' back with his claws, I stab the Demon and hold Xanthus. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fantastic" he answers sarcastically, "good to know! Why isn't it healing?" I panic when I see the wound isn't closing up like others. "Venom" he groans, I look around and realize all the other demons are dead except one

Lilith. She send us a smirk before I hear Xanthus roars as Hoaric drives a dagger through his back, Xanthus drops with a thud and I throw my dagger, he dodges it while he's distracted Dorin grips him and snaps his neck I see Lilith struggling in the hands of guards that hold her. They also snap her neck, I run to Xanthus and pull the dagger out. He doesn't move I don't even know if he's breathing.

Three men rush to my side and pick Xanthus up, I see two other men carry Logan's limp body. Maybe he passed out. I follow them and stop outside Xanthus' hospital room. I've been pacing for the past hour most of the time I sway and feel dizzy but I don't sit because I'm worried I overheard a nurse saying his wounds aren't healing. "Aurora, you need to get checked" I ignore Dorin and I wipe my tears away. "No, I'm not living here until I know he's fine!"

"You're going to make him worse if you don't take care of yourself"

"How?" I almost scream, "The mate bond will affect him more if you're in harm's way" he answers I panic and follow him where I'm checked.

My injuries are cleaned and patched after I bath. I return back to his door "is he dead?" I ask Dorin.

"I only snapped his neck he should be waking up now" He answers. "I want to see and ask him why" Dorin nods and I follow him.

The dungeon is dark and creepy and dirty, and sticky. I see Dorin tied to a chair with a big rock hanging above him "Once the rope cuts it will drop on him, it won't kill him he would feel pain because it's laced with venom" I nod and move inside the room with Dorin behind me. "Why?" I ask Hoaric he stares at me.

"Why would you help Lilith help destroy your mate's only brother?" I ask with anger in my voice I wonder how Korina would be feeling, her mate betrayed her and her family.

"Lilith is my mate, not Korina, I'm only with her for revenge" he simply shrugs.

"Wait, revenge?"

"Two centuries ago, Xanthus banished me to Tartarus, I was released and ever since I've been planning my revenge Lilith came to me for help and I couldn't say no to my mate"

"Why did she need your help?"

"Never asked never cared" he shrugs. "And I hope he dies" and the rock drops on him his scream of pains are the last I hear as I leave his cell.

Lilith looks worse, many knives are facing her in front, at her back, and by her sides "Timer, wouldn't kill but would hurt her, it's laced with venom" I nod. "Oh, would you look who it is" she mocks as her head moves side to side I think she can't control the direction her head moves.

"I'm guessing you've visited my lovely mate and he must have told you he wanted revenge, before I give my reasons to you, let me tell you the murderer of Korina's baby" she clears her throat and I ball my fists.

"I killed her child! I wasn't going to let her have kids for my mate," she shrugs, she killed an innocent baby because of jealousy? Lilith is sick!

"Why did you organize an attack"

"I wanted to be the ruler of Dapphion." She answers, I hear a slow beep meaning the time is almost up. "Their family has been royals for too long! Other families want to have a taste of feeling power too. Okay maybe it's only my family that wishes to because royal--" the knives throws hits her she screams and Dorin pulls me out.

When I step into the hospital again Rekal rushes to me. "Aurora I have to tell you something," Rekal says and I nod.

"Logan...is Dead."
