On the twenty-first of December 2012 a virus spread across the United States of America. Nobody knew where it came from, people suspected terrorists, but the truth was far closer to home. The virus was a particularly violent biological weapon which caused death within hours of contraction. The infected corpse would then rise after an indeterminable period of motionlessness; the infected would have the appearance of a decayed cadaver, a grotesque parody of life breathed back into a dead form. The risen specimen would be driven by the virus’s one basic command: survive.

These are three stories from people from different walks of life. Where they were, what they were doing, what they said when the apocalypse came to town.
