Chapter 7

Cole gets back to the table and sits down with his food and drink
"Remind me to listen to you next time you tell me to stop" Mia says to Cole laughing
Cole just laughs
"Mia your food and drink is ready" The cashier hollers to Mia very nicely
Mia gets up to get her food
"I'll be right back" Mia says to Cole
"Ok I'll be waiting Mimi" Cole says
Mia walks away towards the counter
Cole's phone goes off so he checks it

Hey where are you Cole and you Mia- Josh
Yea we didn't see you in school and Mia still hasn't told me what happened last night- Jacob
We missed you guys -Kovur

Mia gets to the counter to pick up the food and drink
"So I get off in about 10 minutes how about you let me take you somewhere" the cashier says to Mia while holding her drink back
"No thank you" Mia replies
"Oh is it because of your boyfriend over there cause he seems like a fuck boy anyways so I could definitely show you a better time then he ever could" the cashier says
"Like I said before no thank you" Mia says trying to reach her drink
"Oh come on baby" the cashier says
"Please just give me my drink" Mia asks getting mad
The cashier puts her drink forward and when Mia goes to reach for it he grabs her wrist which is still sore from the night before so Mia winces
"Come on at least give me your number so we can get together once he fucks up baby" the cashier says
"For one I'm not your baby so don't call me baby for two that man over there isn't my boyfriend he's a good friend of mine and if you keep talking bad about him I will punch you and three let my wrist go so I can enjoy my food while it's hot unlike you" Mia says loud enough she's sure everyone in the store heard but she doesn't care
"Oh come on I saw the way you two were about to go at it earlier so if he's not your boyfriend let me have a try I'm way better than his ugly emo chopstick looking f boy self anyways" the cashier says
"I warned you to stop talking about him and I also told you to stop" Mia said pissed off and she definitely knew the whole store heard her as she could feel Cole standing behind her about to step in
Mia pulls her wrist away from the cashier which hurt but she was gonna ignore that for the moment
"But come o.." the cashier started to say
Mia punched him right in the face full force stopping him from finishing his sentence
"Now may I speak to your manager?" Mia asks smiling shaking her hand beside her to stop the burn from punching him
"You bitch" the cashier says holding his nose
"Your right now MANAGER NOW" she raises her voice at the end of her sentence so the manger can hear her
Coles just standing behind her laughing slightly. He's shocked but proud.
The manger comes out
"Yes I heard you needed to speak to me" the manager said to Mia
"Yea something needs done about him oh and he also needs to go to the ER so he's gonna have to leave early" Mia says pointing to the cashier
"Yea I heard what happened I was about to step in but then I saw your friend and you had it handled" the manager says to Mia with a proud looking smile
"He can leave now cause he's fired anyways" the manager says looking directly at the cashier so he'd get the hint
"Are you fucking kidding me I'm being fired over some hoe bag?" the cashier says still holding his nose 
"I will beat the shit out of you kid and not even think twice if you talk about her again" Cole's says sending shivers down Mia's back so Mia looks over her shoulder slightly and grabs Cole's hand to calm him
"Well yes you are fired so get your things, clock out, and leave" the manager says to the cashier
"Do we also need to get the police involved orrr?" Mia says giving him a warning look dragging the word or so he'd get the hint to leave
"Whatever bye" the cashier says running into the break room grabbing his stuff and clocks out. Then he leaves in a hurry
"Let me get you guys new drinks and food it's on the house" the manager says smiling at Mia
"Thank you" Mia says
Cole hasn't taken his eyes off the cashier outside so he didn't even hear the manager
"No problem I'll bring it over to your table" the manager says
"Thanks" Mia says
The manager just nods and Mia sees the cashier finally drive off
"Let's get back to our seats the manager is gonna bring us out new food and drinks" Mia says to Cole breaking him out of his trance
"Alright" Cole says letting go of Mia's hand
Mia and Cole walk over to their table and sits down
"You alright Mia?" Cole asks Mia taking Mia's hand to check her wrist and hand
"Yea I'm ok how about you?"  Mia says to Cole
"Yea I'm good you might want to ice your hand when we get back to your place though" Cole tells Mia
"Ok I will" Mia smiles at Cole
Mia realize her phone had a ton of texts so she checks it and reads the group chat first and then sees another new message
Her face goes white as she sees that Tracey texted

It was an innocent night Trace. I promise he only stayed because something happened at the club and I didn't want to be alone at my house because I was scared. I'm sorry if your taking it wrong but I promise it wasn't anything more then a friend being there for a friend. -Mia
If I ever get you alone I'm beating you worse then when you stole Cade from me mark my word -Tracey
Tracey I didn't even steal Cade from you that's been two years now. I thought you were over that I'm sorry. -Mia

"You ok Mia?" Cole asks Mia seeing her face
"Yea I'm fine" Mia says looking up at Cole smiling
"You sure?" Cole asks
"Yes thank you" Mia replies
The manager brings over our food and drinks
"Here's your food and drinks guys I'm sorry about earlier" the manager says to Cole and Mia
"It's ok thank you" Mia and Cole both say at the same time
Which earned us a smile from the manager and the manager walked away
" I have to use the restroom so could you send the group a message asking them if they would like to join us here and then come to my place so I can explain what happened last night to them and we can all hang out if it's also alright with you"
"Yea sure" Cole tells her
"you can use my phone since I was the one who asked I'll leave it here with you the codes 123546" Mia tells Cole
"Alright" Cole says laughing
Mia walks away to go to the restroom
Cole unlocks Mia's phone and sees messages between Mia and Tracey but goes to the group messages knowing it's not his business

Hey guys come join us at Starbucks and then we can all go to my place and I'll explain what happened last night at the club -Mia

Me two -Jacob
Only if we make it a party -Jake says

I do need a snack so on my way now -Kovur

Mia is in the bathroom washing her hands and when she looks in the mirror she gasps
"Oh my god Cole" she whispers to herself
Mia dries her hands and heads out of the bathroom
She reaches the table and goes over to Cole's side and lightly slaps his arm
"Hey what was that for?" Cole asks laughing
"For this asshole how am I gonna explan this?" Mia just points at her neck where a big hickey sits trying to be serious but is about to breakout into a fit of laughter
Cole can see she's on the verge of laughing
"Oh shit I'm sorry I only started to suck because I thought the biting would start to hurt after awhile because of my fangs" Cole apologizes
"It's ok I just don't even have anything to hide it with so this is gonna be interesting are the others coming?" Mia says
"Yea they are all on their ways" Cole says sliding his hoodie off
"Alright" Mia laughs
"Here put this on it should cover it if you tie the strings" Cole tells Mia
"You sure?" Mia asks taken back
"Yea it will look good on you anyways" Cole tells Mia
Mia slides it on
"Thank you" Mia says
"Anytime you can borrow a hoodie when ever you want" Cole tells Mia before looking at the door
Mia just smiles at him and smells the hoodie because it smells like his cologne while he's looking away
"The others are here" Cole says looking back at Mia
"Wow that was fast" Mia says
Mia gets up and walks over to everyone
The girls all hug her minus Tracey who just ignored her and walked straight to Cole and started kissing him
Mia is picked up off her feet by Josh hugging her she giggles and hugs back
"Hey Josh don't hog Mia I want my hugs as well" Jacob says
Everyone laughs and Josh puts her down
"Hey bubba" Mia says hugging Jacob
"Hey bubbers" Jacob says to Mia hugging her back
The rest of the boys hug Mia
"I'm paying for your guys food and drinks so let's go that includes you Tracey even if you hate me" Mia says and then heads to the counter before anyone even objects
They all follow her and tell the cashier their orders
The manager comes out
"Are they with you Mia?" The manager asks
"Yea this is my friends Jacob, Addison, Avani, Kovur, Anthony, Jake, Josh, Bryce, and Tracey" Mia tells her
"Ok well since you guys are friends with a badass I can't always do this but I'll let it slide this time drinks and food are on the house and we'll bring it over to your table" the manager tells everyone
Everyone tells her thanks
"Are you sure? I can pay for it. I was already planning on it" Mia tells the manager
"Nah your good you already paid me by exposing that perv" the manager says
"Well thank you and I tried to be nice but I got fed up even more so when he trash talked my friend so that was the last straw" Mia says
The manager just smiled at Mia and Mia and her laugh
Mia walks to her table with the others and the manager goes back into the back
"What did she mean we're friends with a badass and you already paid her by exposing a creep?" Addison asks the question everyone was wondering
"Oh when me and Cole got here the cashier kept hitting on me and when I went to get my food and drinks he kept hitting on me and wouldn't take no as an answer so he grabbed my wrist then he started trash talking Cole and I punched him so she fired him for being a creep" Mia tells everyone
Everyone but Tracey laughs
"That's our badass" Avani says
Everyone claps and laughs but Tracey
Mia gets up and bows then sits down laughing with the others
"At least he was single so maybe you could have given him a chance instead of trying to mess with other people's boyfriends" Tracey says under her breath "but it's not the first time" Traceys adds glaring and rolling her eyes at Mia
Mia just puts her chin in her hand looking at Tracey and flips her off with her free hand
Everyone but Tracey laughs at Mia's reaction
"Hey mi" Josh says
"Yes Josh" Mia answers looking at Mia
"Can we talk alone for a moment?" Josh asks
"Yea sure" Mia says getting up
Josh and Mia walk right outside in front of the big window
Cole keeps looking at Mia and Josh through the window but he doesn't want to make it obvious so he lays his head on the table his head up enough only he knows he can see
"So Mia we've known each other for a few months now and you can probably tell I'm into  you so I was wondering if you'd go on a date with me?" Josh asks sounding hopeful
Mia looks shocked
"Yea sure" Mia gives him a sweet smile
"Thanks Mia you won't regret it it's Friday now so hows Sunday since we're partying tonight" Josh says to Mia
"That sounds perfect" Mia replies
Josh puts his arm around Mia's shoulder
Mia and Josh walk inside and Josh moves his arm and they both sit down.
Cole still has his head down and Mia's sitting across from him still so she very gently kicks his leg
Cole looks up at her and she mouths you ok to him she's looking at him very concerned
Cole nods his head yea and moves his head towards Tracey who refuses to let go of his shoulder with her hand to act like that's why
Mia knows she's doing it because of her so she just laughs quietly
Mia feels a hand on her thigh and looks down to see Josh's hand so she gives him a small smile
Everyone just eats and talks and Mia explains what happened at the club until they are finished and ready to leave to go to Mia's
