🥀(Y/n) P.O.V.🥀

I look over the damages to the ship while we stand at the naval yard. It's really bad. The front third of the ship has nearly sliced off. I ignore my Uncle and brother fighting behind me. I'm busy wondering if we are over our heads. What can two kids with a crazy uncle and few crewmen do to the Avatar? "Getting in the way of what, Prince Zuko?" I hear a new voice ask. I scowl, recognizing Captain Zhao's voice. I turn to face him, standing next to Uncle. "Captain Zhao." I say distastefully. "It's Commander now. And General Iroh, great hero of our nation." He bows to Uncle. "Retired general." He reminds. "The Fire Lord's brother and children are welcome guests any time. What brings you to my harbor?" He questions. I already don't like this. I have a bad feeling. "Our ship is being repaired." Iroh says calmly. "That's quite a bit of damage." Zhao notes. (They need flex tape)

"Yes... you wouldn't believe what happened." Zuko starts, but then makes a panicked face. "Uncle! Tell Commander Zhao what happened." I roll my eyes. "Yes, I will do that. It was incredible." He leans over to Zuko to whisper. "What... did we crash or something?" I face palm. These two are going to kill me. "We were traveling in the small channels of the Southern Poles when there was an avalanche. The ice and snow damaged it. I suppose these two got hit too hard." I lie easily. Use half the truth, idiots.
Zuko gives me a side glare, but doesn't protest. "Really? You must regale me with all the thrilling details. Join me for a drink?" Zhao asks, getting right in my face challengingly. I stand tall, holding my ground.

"Sorry, but we have to go." Zuko says, going to walk off. However, Iroh stops him. "Prince Zuko, show Commander Zhao your respect. We would be honored to join you. Do you have any ginseng tea? It's my favorite." Iroh says pleasantly. I growl in frustration. Zuko releases tiny flames from his fists. He follows the two, but before I do, I kick a random piece of whatever into the water. "Better." I decide, following the group to Zhao's tent.

"And by year's end, the Earth Kingdom capital will be under our rule." Zhao finishes. I stifle the urge to yawn, but had basically just zoned him out. "The Fire Lord will finally claim victory in this war." I watch Iroh mess around with some stuff in the corner out of boredom from my spot next to Zuko. "If my father thinks the rest of the world will follow him willingly, then he is a fool." Zuko hisses. "We already knew that." I mumble to him. "Two years at sea have done little to temper your tongue. So, how is your search for the Avatar going?" Before we can respond Uncle knocks the stuff earlier, causing a loud commotion. "My fault entirely." He says with embarrassment. I face palm, my newest habit these days. "We haven't found him yet." Zuko answers.

"Did you really expect to? The Avatar died a hundred years ago along with the rest of the airbenders." Zhao taunts. Zuko averts his gaze, but I stare him down head on. I will not back down. "Unless you found some evidence that the Avatar is alive." He continues. "If we did, do you think we'd still be here?" I growl. "Prince Zuko, Princess (Y/n), the Avatar is the only one who can stop the Fire Nation from winning this war. If you have an ounce of loyalty left, you'll tell me what you've found." I stand up, getting in his face defiantly. "I told you already. Nothing." I spit. "It's like you said. The Avatar probably died a long time ago. Come on, Uncle, we're going." Zuko commands.

Zuko gets up and tries to exit, but he is blocked by the guards as they cross their spears in front of him. Another guard approaches Zhao to deliver his report. Shit! "Commander Zhao, we interrogated the crew as you instructed. They confirmed the royal children had the Avatar in custody, but let him escape." I feel a sudden urge to burn the tent down and throw a bitch into the water much like that scrap from earlier. "Now, remind me," Zhang says from behind us, "how exactly was your ship damaged?"

"So, a twelve-year-old boy bested you and your firebenders? You're more pathetic than I thought." Zhao taunts. "Well you're uglier then I thought, but you don't see me attacking you about it." I retort. I earn a glare from Zhao and a snicker from someone else. "We underestimated him once, but it will not happen again." Zuko says. Zhao turns his attention to him. "No, it will not, because you won't have a second chance." Zuko and I simultaneously sit up farther. "Commander Zhao, we have been hunting the Avatar for two years and I-" Zhao turns on Zuko angrily, flames erupting from his hand as he sweeps it in an arc. "And you failed! Capturing the Avatar is too important to leave in two teenager's hands. Especially one without bending. He's mine now." He sneers, looking at me. Zuko launches himself at Zhao, but is restrained by the two guards standing behind his chair. I make a move at the them, but am grabbed by more guards.
