CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT

I held my breath because he looked at me and smile, he even winks at me. I can't believe this man. Napailing ako at napangisi. Bumalik ang tingin niya sa kausap, nagpaalam siya rito at nagsimulang maglakad papunta sakin.

He's wearing a white polo and black pants paired with black leather shoes, he always rock his clothes, naol!

Naramdaman ko nalang na nasa harap ko siya ng hinawakan niya ang baywang ko sabay hinalikan ang noo ko.

"Are you tired, baby?" tanong niya sakin.

Umiling ako at tiningnan ang mukha ninyang nakangiti sakin. Nginitian ko siya at tumingin sa anak namin na karga karga ngayon ni Don Marchero.

Tuwang tuwa sila sa kanilang apo habang nilalaro ito. Mahahalata rin na masaya si Cocon sa atensyon na nakukuha niya para sa pamilya ni Manuel. Nakita ko ang ibang miyembro ng pamilya ni Manuel sa isang lamesa na kausap ang anak na nagpapabibo, panay naman ang tawa nila sa aming anak.

Tinawag na kami ng host kasama si Cocon dahil magbubukas daw ito ng regalo.

Nakaupo kami sa mahabang couch habang ang mga tao ay nasa kani-kanilang upuan at kumakain.

"The first one to open is a gift from, Don Marchero!" masiglang sabi ng host.

Inabot nito ang malaking kahon at dahil malaki ay mabigat iyon kaya tinulungan namin siyang buksan. Mababakas sa mukha ng aming anak ang gulat at saya dahil sa regalo ng kanyang Lolo, isang kotse na de-baterya at maari niyang sakyan iyon. Lumapit ng saglit si Cocon kay Don. Marchero at hinalikan ito sa pisngi, tumawa lamang ng may galak ito sa apo at pinisil ang pisngi.

Maraming natanggap na regalo si Cocon at napagpasiyahan namin na bukas na lamang buksan ang iba dahil pagod na ang anak namin at gutom na rin. Malapit ng lumubog ang araw at ito si Cocon ay kumakain sa table kasama ang pamilya namin ni Manuel.

Napatingin ako sa kanya at naabutan kong nakatingin siya ng mariin sa akin. Anong problema nito? Pagod na kaya ito dahil marami kaming bisita?

"Is there any problem?" I asked but he just shakes his head and grabbed my hand while taking me to the stage.

Kinuha niya ang mic, akala ko ay magcloclosing prayer kami pero nagulat ako ng may tumugtog na kanta at hindi iyon pang-birthday!

"Forever can never be long enough for me

Feel like I've had long enough with you~"

He's singing. I'm speechless. I can't even move or utter a single word. I rendered speechless since it's my first time hearing him singing.

I look at everyone and they are all shocked except for Zaugustus.

"Forget the world now we won't let them see

But there's one thing left to do now that the weight has lifted Love has surely shifted my way~"

My eyes get teary when he bent his one knee.

"Marry me, Today and every day, Marry me~"

he sing and slowly pulled a dark blue velvet ring box inside his pocket while everyone is cheering to us.

All of their phones are on me and Manuel.

Tumulo na ang luha sa mata ko at tumango habang nakahawak sa bibig ang kamay ko.

I completely forgot that this is Cocon's Birthday and Manuel is kneeling and asking me to marry him is such an overflowing joy to my system. Hindi ko mapigilan ang pagtulo ng luha ko.

"Can I be your husband, baby? Will you please marry me? hmmm?" he mumbled and gaze at my eyes, there is a glistened of tears in the side of his eyes and i wipe it out. napangiti siya sa ginawa ko. "Yes. I will marry you, Emmanuel Marchero," naiiyak kong sabi habang tumatango sa kanya.

Hinawakan ko ang kamay niya at lahat ng tao na nakapaligid samin ay naghiyawan when he finally reached my right hand to slide the ring inside of my ring finger.

A square sapphire diamond with a silver band and a diamond in details. it looks so big on my finger but very sophisticated and expensive looking.

He wiped my tears and hug me. Humikbi ako hindi dahil malungkot kundi dahil nag uumapaw ang saya sa puso ko. Tumawa siya ng mahina at inalo ako.

"I love you so much, I'm sorry if I'm always busy, I just want to make everything perfect and special to my proposal even the tiniest detailed needs my full attention," he whispered as he held my hands while looking at my ring. No wonder, this ring looks different, It is customized pala. Hinalikan niya ang kamay ko at nginitian ako.

Napangiti ako sa mga tukso ng tao sa amin.

We look around and saw Cocon jumping in joy and running toward us, I saw them clapping and congratulating us.

Today will be one of the best day of my life.

Napangiti ulit ako. We both catch Cocon as he throws himself into us. I kissed our son on his left cheek while Manuel kiss Cocon's right cheek. The photographer took a picture of that scene.

I raised my hands to show them the ring and smiles wide and genuine.

Bumaba si Cocon kay Manuel at tumakbo muli kila Don Marchero kaya niyakap naman ako ni Manuel.

"You'll be tied to me forever,

Avella Rue-Marchero and there will be no turning back for you." he whispered on my ears and it gives butterflies in my stomach.

Who said I'll turn my back, Manuel?

"You'll be tied to a hot-headed woman like me, Manuel. Be prepared." I teased him and he chuckled.

"The only thing I want you to be prepared for is being pregnant once again because I intend to give us sleepless nights just to have a little version of you." he whispered and I know for a damn that my cheek is really red right now.

"Siraulo." ani ko na ikinatawa niya.

"I'm madly and crazily in love with you, smitten and drowned," he whispered in my ears as he claimed my lips and kissed me thoroughly.

Maririnig ang hiyawan, tukso at palakpakan nang mga taong nanonood sa aming kasiyahan.
