So what's the key to creating hair just like that? Look at hair like it's a collection of sections, keep it clumpy and fluffy like real hair. This way, you avoid spaghetti hair like on the right, where you try to draw out every strand of hair.
Hair isn't perfect, it's messy often and never perfectly symmetrical. Changing it up from perfect waves and having a sharper edge sometimes makes it appear more realistic and gives it character.
