Chapter 39: Reunited

Start from the beginning

"I'm liking the sound of the Marcus breakfast," Tayte said, "Bacon, sausage, two eggs, field mushrooms, tiger tomato, homemade beans on toast with a chilli jam,"

  "That does sound nice,"

"Oh those beans and chilli jam are amazing," Tammara said,

"I'm leaning more towards the Brother special, mountain tea cured salmon, sounds fancy, scrambled eggs with honey and sesame glazed tender stem broccoli on toast. Think I've sold myself,"

  "Drinks?"

"Filter coffee," we answered together, and smiled,

"I'll go sort that out," and before we could say anything, she flounced off,

"It's really good to see her," I said, "It feels much longer than 5 months, it feels like all this shit has been happening for 5 years,"

"But it's all over now," Tayte said squeezing my hand, Tammara came back over a few minutes later,

"So, tell me about your older brother Arlo," Tammara said, I hadn't realised I'd smiled, "And your face just totally brightened up at the mention of his name,"

"He is incredible, you must meet him,"

"I plan to fly to Malibu and spend a couple of weeks with you, if you'd have me,"

"Of course, you can stay as long as you'd like too," Tayte said.

"What have you been up to?" I asked,

"I've been working for my Dad, he's started up a private security company with George, and I've been doing all the behind the scenes work, so it's about time I get a holiday,"

"Is there anyone else in your life?" she smiled,

"I have high expectations and I'm not looking for any of that, scarred after the one I did love turned gay on me," she winked and I grinned,

"There are plenty of men out there better than me,"

"I disagree," She replied,

   "Me too," Tayte agreed.

"How's your Mum Tayte and Oh My God, the baby!"

"Mum is doing well and Torah Rayne is beautiful,"

"Aw, such a gorgeous name, glad it's a girl, because boys seriously outweigh the girls," we laughed.

It was now 3 girls and 6 boys. She had a fair point.

Our drinks were bought over, soon followed by our food, with a few added extras,

"Some grilled Halloumi, because who doesn't love that stuff, some houmous and aubergine, which I promise does actually taste nice and some sourdough bread to dunk into it," She announced, "Dig in,"

It was so tasty, like wow. Healthy and delicious. I tried Tayte's and Tammara's, they were both equally as yummy.

Though I think I'd be full for the rest of the day after that. We got our coffee's refilled and chatted about anything and everything. Tammara then naughtily paid for us, despite our protests. We left Brother Marcus at 11am,

"You can get our afternoon coffee and cake," she smiled, linking our arms. We got the tube to Camden which took less than 10 minutes. Then browsed the markets for a couple of hours, before popping back on the tube for half hour and finding ourselves in Fulham, because Tammara wanted us to try the best banana bread ever, apparently. In Chairs & Coffee. We grabbed the last table, in the corner,

"I like the vibe in here," I admitted. There was a happy buzz about the place. They were also known for the coffee, so I thought I should have a hand poured drip, Tayte had the same,
