Twenty-two

Before marriage, that kind of conversation was his wildest dream to catch, but surprisingly he was afraid of it at the instant. Fear was for the irksome indetermination. His eyes were filled with a terrifying doubt as he watched the slightest movements of Taehyung.

The Alpha was busy with unpacking his stuffs, having his full back to him. The slow speed the other chose to get each item out told the Omega that so unlike him, Taehyung was anticipating.

Jin found nothing more than the patternless covers of the bed on which he was seated at its edge. Therefore, he rubbed his palm over the soft fabric again and again to prevent his eyes from staying on his husband.

In the process, he managed to get lost in his thoughts easily as many images were crowding his mind. He didn't hear the Alpha calling his name until Taehyung used a little louder tone to steal his lost attention.

"Seokjin?"

The Omega was startled evidently to meet the Alpha's straight, full force stare upon his soul.

"Uh, yes?!" he had to shake his head for a couple of times to throw away his thoughts and reply in a totally clear state.

"You know Hyun-su wasn't the only person I had a deal with! Did you give any thought to my words?"

The wordless pause was to tell everything to Taehyung. The Alpha heaved a sigh deep within his chest, holding his gaze on the floor after as he whispered in a barely audible voice, "What the hell happened in here when I was gone that still have you all paralyzed?"

Jin remained silent for more, lingering over the mere question of- Was he allowed to ruin Taehyung's mood, as well, when he was already back to rest in home after his long tiring journey all for business?

All of this spinning subtly in vivid detail in his mind, he didn't need to take much of a consideration because the Alpha could be far away from the mansion, but the gloom would never let him feel the lack of its presence in every small scene of his life.

Taehyung was already broken. One small sting of him wouldn't accentuate in comparison to the long, seemed to be everlasting agony of his husband.

"One day Hyun-su's mother showed up, claiming you gave her the permission to take him out for a walk or another thing of that sort. She said some weird things about Hyun-su and Jungkook that just didn't make any sense to me. It was..."

"She talks a lot, and all of them are nothing but nonsense when being said angry. If that's what bothering you all, you should just neglect it like it never occured because it's never well worth denying your future for."

Maybe the words were the naked truth or if not, they could have their wanted effect, but one single crucial element turned everything off in his head in matter of seconds.

Jin was sure he never heard and more importantly saw Taehyung nervous before now, and it was to a point that had the Alpha's voice trembling just like his entire body. He was trying painfully to conceal, but with every little information from here and there, the job was just getting more and more difficult.

"I could forget them that simple you say, Kim Taehyung, if your fucked up past didn't like to cover you and unfortunately me and poor Hyun-su with its not so full of fortunate shadows.

Don't you see how your son is suffering from all of these shits that I'm sure none of them was his fault?

He knows more than what he should know at his young age, and they're mostly about how to soothe someone from their pain while it should be the other way around. Currently, he's the one with that need from his family, from you.
