"Daddy, you were right. This glider is just so difficult for my age that I had to give up at the end. I lost our bet."
Taehyung couldn't really pinpoint if he was more upset or shocked. Whichever it was, it still hurt like a sharp thorn stuck in his heart pricking the muscle endlessly to hear Hyun-su pronounce the family words of quit which used to be absolute aliens in his son's dictionary for as long as he could remember.
He looked up ahead at both of his sides to first check Jungkook's and then Jin's features. When all he got was two distressed faces, in spot he figured out something was off with everyone.
"It's ok, baby. I tried to make you learn something and entertain yourself at the same time. Maybe it was too much of a pressure. I'll get us both the tickets for the concert since I don't want you to lose the chance. I know how much you like that boyband."
The Alpha thought carefully over every single word before he let them out. Upon finding not much of a cheerful reaction or to be more specific any reaction from his son, he frowned without even having the actual power to hide.
"I told you! Your dad would buy that ticket for you anyway, Su. You were just overworking yourself, little man." Jungkook voiced out in a knowing matter in order to paint a smile on the kid's lips. Nevertheless, there was nothing more than a surprised look of the boy's big pupils towards his direction.
"But a deal is a deal, uncle Kookie. I wanna win my ticket," Hyun-su then turned back to his father, getting on his toes a little as he said, "Dad, you shouldn't buy me the ticket. I lost the bet and I'm not getting anything!"
"I definitely know that, and I'll still get it for you with that knowledge, Su." this time the older Alpha didn't waste a second as he uttered everything the next moment the child was finished with his words.
"Come on, dad! What kind of businessman are you then?!" Hyun-su whined, flailing his hands in the air in irritation.
Jin found some sort of an urge to interfere in the matter because Hyun-su seemed to keep being obstinate and deprive himself of the great chance, however his words were never needed.
He was never as content as this moment when Taehyung crouched down putting his hands on his son's shoulders in a comforting hold, speaking in an overly calm, beautiful deep voice, "For other people I'm a businessman. For you, I'm your dad. What kind of a dad would I be is the question I'm gonna ask myself about you, baby."
Nobody knew if it was the voice or the eyes, maybe the well-timed combination. One thing was crystal clear, though. It was all required to flare the bright feeling of love and hope throughout Hyun-su's body.
"But I don't wanna go alone. You promised you'll come, too." It was way adorable for hearts to take when the child mumbled shyly under his breath that the three adults were all beaming ear to ear.
"Of course. You can't forget this poor dad of yours, can you?! I freed my schedules for that day a long while ago!" Taehyung pouted playfully and lowered his head in fake misery.
That playfulness for sure had the best thing a parent would pray from the Lord to gain. Taehyung found himself wrapped in the small, yet warmest hug he needed to be away from any mischief.
Jin used the blissful aura and stole a glance from the younger Alpha to read, and he was just met with what he would always get, a radiant smile that shone proud in the living room along with the child's father.
Seeing nothing other than a purified affection, he let himself absorb in the instant because he could tell these precious moments wouldn't last and happen for him as much as he desired. He knew less than the next hour he'd be in the bedroom with his husband, and he was also completely aware he was expected to answer.
