The Fight For Love (Zumin)

Chapter 1

Jumin awoke to the sound of someone knocking at his door.

"The king wants to see you, my prince," said zen, as he was Jumin’s personal guard

"Tell him I will be there shortly," he said sleepily

He closed his door and he got dressed in his normal outfit, a white button-down with a black overcoat with gold embroidery.

He goes down to meet his father with Zen trailing behind him and wonders what he wants to speak to him about.

"Good morning father" Jumin said as he sat down next to his father.

"A good morning it is indeed," he said with a very cheery tone

Jumin wondered why he was in such a good mood

"What did you need to speak to me about?"

"Well, you remember the ball we had last week? Of course, you do it was all about you, but we held it so you could finally find yourself a bride"

"Yes?" He wondered where this was going to go

"Well you don't need to look anymore because I have found the perfect girl, her name is Sarah and she is a princess from the neighboring kingdom!" The king said sounding way too happy for Jumin’s liking

"And?" He said waiting for the last part to come

"And her and her family are coming over for a feast tonight to see if you too are going to marry!"

Jumin nods and stands up to walk away and finish his duties, Zen following right after.

They walk upstairs and Jumin turns to Zen and says,

"What do you think about this?"

Zen was shocked because Jumin almost never acknowledged he was there, let alone talk directly to him

"What do you mean sir?" He said not knowing what exactly to say

"About this Sarah lady," Jumin said 

"Why would you want my opinion on this?"

"Because I honestly don't know who else to talk about this too," he said with his usual blank face but in his voice, you could hear a bit of worry

"Well… I don't know, this is your future" Zen said trying to be helpful

Jumin really had never felt like he ever loved any woman that his father has tried to put into his life, he has done this many times before so this was nothing to him

He kept trying to find Jumin a wife but none of them seemed like they were actually in love with him for him, but just because they would become queen one day

“Mabey she will be different, and she won’t be so fake,” Zen had seen all of the girls that the king has tried to put Jumin with but he just never seemed interested in any of them

“I bet she will be like all of the other ones,” Jumin said under his breath

They walk back to Jumins room because he has some work to get done before dinner

Jumin enters his room and his cat, Elizabeth the 3rd, walks up to him and rubs up agents his legs

Zen looks at the cat in disgust and sneezes, he was not happy that he had to guard the one person in the whole castle that had a cat because he was highly allergic 

“Don’t look at my darling Elizabeth like that, she is such a beautiful creature,” Jumin said while picking her up and holding her in his arms

“If you say so,” Zen said as his eyes were starting to get red and puffy

“Don’t have that tone with me, you know what would happen,” Jumin said with a smirk

Zen shuddered to know that if he did he would have to wear the cat ears for a week, and to him, that was actual torture

“I’m very sorry sir I won’t do that again”

“Are you sure? Because I think it’s amusing to watch you in those ears ” 

“I am very, very sure sir”

“Well then, I guess you are dismissed for now, come back here before dinner”

“Yes sir”

Zen walked out the door and to his quarters, once he got in he picked up his sword and started to train

Zen was the best knight in the whole kingdom, so when Jumin got threatened by one of the women he rejected, he became Jumins personal guard

He liked knowing that he was held to standers that no one else could reach except him, it made him feel special

When he was a child his family was also held to high standers academically, his father was a medic and helped people, his mother was the kingdom’s treasurer, and his brother was a successful merchant 

But he really could never do what any of them did, he wanted to fight

His whole family frowned upon him for that, they all thought that you could never get enough money for doing that

But he showed them that they were wrong, he has housing in the castle with amazing food, and he doesn’t have to pay for any of it because he is fantastic at what he does, and that’s fighting

Zen looked out his window and saw that it was almost time for dinner, he didn’t realize how much time had passed so he went back to Jumin’s room as he wanted
