Authors pov:

It has been 8 years after Jiang cheng and Lan Xichen got married and had their children. Yanli is moody all the time which made Jiang cheng take control of his anger issues when it came to their daughter saying rude things.

Jiang cheng has some issues going on he didn't want to tell anyone at the moment especially not Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen had been tutoring Jiang clan students for 8 years Jin ling is planning to get married to Lan Sizhui and Wei ying and Lan wangji has their 3rd kid. That's a quick summery of the last 8 years

Jiang chengs pov:

It has been 4 weeks since he has eaten he didn't want anyone to know so he used excuses like.

"I'm not hungry"
"I had a big lunch"
"oh I might have something later"

Little did Jiang cheng know that Lan Xichen was catching onto his Weird behaviour.

"Jiang cheng, would you like something to eat"

"Uh, no thanks not hungry" jiang cheng goes to walk away

"but baby it's your favourite lotus root soup"

"Honestly I'm not hungry"

"Ok then, more for me and the kids then"

"Yeah" jiang cheng smiles then walks to his office he felt his eyes get heavy until he couldn't hold back the tears anymore he cried silently into his hands.

Jiang cheng then gets a really bad headache 'I might lay down' he thinks to himself. Jiang cheng stands up and walks to his room he stops in the hall way and feels dizzy he puts his hand on his head he looks up to see Lan Xichen walking towards him

"Babe are you-" the smaller male collapses luckily Lan Xichen catches him before he hits his head. Lan Xichen looks at the pale being

"jiang cheng why are you doing this" he whispers picking up Jiāng cheng and places his on the bed he then grabs a wet towel with cold water and places it on Jiang cheng's forehead.

Lan xichen knew it wasn't stress causing Jiang cheng to faint he secretly knew Jiang cheng hasn't been eating but he was waiting for the right moment to ask why.

Few hours later

Lan Xichen's pov

"Will dad be ok" Qingfeng asked concerned

"Don't worry he will be fine" Lan Xichen re assures him

"I'm just going to check on him" go play football or something

"Ok father" Jiang QingFeng grabs his football and goes to play.

Lan Xichen sits on the bed with a peaceful sleeping Jiang Cheng he goes to grab his hand but notices his sleeve has fallen down he goes to pull it back up but realises cuts from his wrist to his elbow they looked...Fresh.

"J-Jiang cheng" he whispers

Lan Xichen began to cry and started to caress Jiang Chengs hair

"Jiang cheng why are you doing this, you know we love you, your an amazing Husband, Dad, Uncle, Brother but most importantly you are you and we all love you so much" Jiang chengs turns round and looks up

"then... what do you love about me"  ignoring the fact he was awake the whole time

"I love your bright purple eyes, your cute soft lips, I like your body, you have an amazing build and I love your soft black hair" Tears start to run down Jiang Chengs face.
