I reached over to my night stand to turn my alarm off surprisingly Armani was still sleep so I was able to brush my teeth and wash my face and do my hygiene routine without the extra hassle
I threw on a white tank top blue jeans a light brown sweater and my white Uggs got Armani out of her crib and changed her diaper she was now fully awake and alert
"Hey mama you awake" I said tickling he
"Mama" she said I looked at her in shock
"You said mama!!!" She giggled putting her a fresh outfit on I got a text message on my phone from my uncle saying he was outside
"Ok come on baby uncle Juan is outside" I grabbed her out the baby bag on my shoulder and put her in the car seat I texted my uncle to come help me I'm finally out of the cast I got surgery to take the bullets out thank God it didn't hit any tendons or bones so I'm still a little weak with this arm I let him in my apartment
"You need me to take this?" He said pointing to the car seat and my purse
"Yes please" I grabbed the baby bag and my house keys
"Tell me what happened to you" he pointed to my neck
"Nothing" I said not making eye contact
"Autumn I don't want you to end up like your mother tell me now"
"Tío please I said I'm fine just leave it alone I'm ok" I fake smiled
"What ever you say Autumn" I just sighed
"I'm sorry I just don't want you to get hurt ok?"
"I know I'm sorry too but I'm fine ok I promise" I lied once again He reached over and kissed my forehead
"We got one more stop we gonna go get your Aunt" I sighed
"Hey I know she wasn't in your life that much and that you guys don't see eye to eye but this isn't about you this is about your mother so keep it together for today please"
"Fine" I plainly said we drove for about twenty minutes in a comfortable silence listening to the gift album by Beyoncé the song "Find Your way back" was on I looked to the back and saw Armani playing with her pacifier I gave her one of the toys from the baby bag and watched make a loud squeal because it was her favorite toy
"You happy mama" she smiled at me with her two little teeth
"Aweeee my little baby had a baby" my uncle said cheesing hard I just laughed
"Ok we're here" he stopped in front of a modern looking house in the middle of nowhere I saw a mod 20 years old woman strut out of her house and knock on the passenger seat door I looked towards my uncle he boded his head in the direction of the back seat I sighed and took my seat belt off and got in the back seat with my daughter
"Juan I haven't seen you in a while how have you been mi Hermano" she kissed his cheek
"Ahem" I fake coughed
"Autumn"she said Turning her attention back to the front
"Ok I know you will never approve of me having a child this early but you can't do anything about it I just lost my mother I can't lose anyone else and who are to judge me my mother had me at 18!"
"Your sixteen Autumn! That is not ok! Just because your mother isn't here to say it does not mean I won't"
"Wow" I said amazed as to what she just said
"I-Im sorry I didn't mean it" she explained
"No you did this is what you had held up inside of you for so long that you never said I never thought I would hear that coming from you" I paused as tears streamed down my face
"Everyone else doubted me but you!"
"Your my family your supposed to be here for me but it's ok" I said taking my seat belt off
"I'm fine" I said breathing in and out
"Tío I love you" I said kissing his forehead
"Autumn don't leave the reason I haven't been very kind is because I resent the relationship you have with my brother and not me" my Aunt said grabbing my arm I winced at the pain in my arm
"You wanna know why I have a close relationship with him because when I was 14 I was taken by my moms "best-friend" and was sold to someone I didn't know at the time and was raped and Tío was the only one there for me when it happened he was the only one who found me the only one who looked for me and he didn't even live in this state! I could've died at the hands of YOUR father but I didn't because he saved me" I said now balling crying
"Now Let me go you made yourself clear on how you feel towards me and my daughter so let me make it easier for you I'll get an Uber to pick me up from here"
"Autumn you don't have to leave" my uncle said
"I'm fine" I repeated breathing in and out to prevent from having a panic attack
I got my daughters car seat and baby bag out the car and waited outside for the Uber to get here
"I'm just gonna go home I'm not feeling that well can we reschedule?"
I looked down at my phone to see the Uber was 5 minutes away
"Yea sure when your ready"he hugged me an I broke down in his arms as I sat on her door step
"I'm sorry mama I'm so sorry" I cried
"I'm so sorry Autumn I didn't know she would be like this I would've told her not to come but that is your mother's sister" I watched as the Uber pulled up in the driveway
"No it's ok I'm fine I'm gonna be ok Uncle" I wiped my tears and picked up Armani and her baby bag and got in "I love you" I mouthed to him
"I love you too" he mouthed back placing his hand over his chest
I closed the door and put my mask back on
"Hi your Autumn Alsina right?"
"Yes I am" I smiled lightly
"Ok cool so your dad is August Alsina?"
"Yes he is" I sighed
"Oh I am so sorry did you hear the news"
"No what happened??"
"Your father died in a plane crash he was headed here..."
Daddy used to take me walking down the street
