Nightingale, Nightingale- what do you think?

What do you think when you stare into space?

What do you think When your eyes are unfocused?

What do you think when you put your head on your palm?

Nightingale, Nightingale- do you escape to your mind?

Do you like the thoughts that you possess?

Do you escape reality with those thoughts?

Do you think of the people around you or of a different world?

Nightingale, Nightingale- why do you get lost?

Why do you make people feel that you're self-centered?

Why do you stay silent instead of laughing?

Why do you make people feel that you're not listening?

Nightingale, Nightingale- I know you're a good person but-

I know you like the pity you think you get,

I know you feel wise when you think those thoughts,

I know you feel like the protagonist of a sad story.

Nightingale, Nightingale- but life is beautiful,

But you're not the only one with problems,

But you're not a creature to be pitied,

But you haven't lived a hundred years to be called wise.

Nightingale, Nightingale- don't look at the bad things,

Don't forget to cherish the things you have that many don't,

Don't forget to cherish your pink lips or your fair skin,

Don't forget to cherish the people that love you.

Nightingale, Nightingale- sing me a happy song.
