Chapter one - I'm on a flying bison... AWESOME

"How did you know his name?" Aang asked. Uh, well this is going to be hard to explain... Meh, it's worth another time.

"I'm just a person that knows about animals, Aang. It's a thing I have." I said with a grin.

"So, on with my question: Who are you?" Katara asked.

"Yeah, you're kind of lame to me." Sokka added.

"And so are your insults, jokes, and comebacks." I said rolling my eyes. He gasped which caused a smile to form on my face. "My name's River!"

"So you're a waterbender? That's great! Cause me and Katara need a teacher." Aang said. I just blinked.

"No. I'm not a waterbender, or an earthbender, or an air bender-"

"So your a fire bender! I knew it, she's a spy!" Sokka said interrupting.

"You didn't let me finish! I'm not a bender! Which doesn't mean I'm a non-bender. I'm just a regular, crazy 15 year old girl with unique talents, not powers. And Sokka, Water bending isn't some crazy voo doo magic. It's bending!" I said. He pouted.

"Can I ask some questions now that involve future preferences?" I asked.

"Sure." They said in unison. I smiled.

"Okay, so Aang. How do you like Zuko?" I smirked.

"Well he's a fire bender. Fire benders are bad. He has a bad temper. He's so demanding, and impatient. He gets mad easily. I could never be friends with some one like that. I mean, he has a permanent scar on his eye! Wouldn't you think he's a bad person?" he finished. I sighed. I knew this would happen.

"Well. I don't think there are bad people, that they just make bad choices in life. He really just has a bad past. He has a sister with a cold heart that hates him, his father banished him, he lost his mother. His cousin died in battle which his Uncle misses dearly, and so much depression. It's sad that when he was a good kid, he was so nice but his sister treated him unfairly. Firebender's are not all bad. Just his father pretty much. Evil man. I would to tell you how to defeat him, but you need to be on your own for that quest." I said.

"Wow, I never thought of it that way, but still he is a bad man!" Sokka stated.

"Sokka, just you wait. He will join our team and we WILL defeat Ozai." I said.

"Whoa, wait, River, who said about you joining a team?" Katara asked rudely.

"I did. Just now. I know everything that will happen, at least. And besides, it's not like for Aang to fail." I said. Aang blushed.

"She has a point there, Katara." Sokka said.

"So, where are we headed?" I asked.

"We're going to meet a great friend of mine. At the Western air Temple!" he said happily.

"Aang are you sure it's a good idea? I mean, it's been a hundred years since they have been seen." Katara said. I could see she doesn't really like me that well. I guess I'll have to earn her friendship.

"Aang, she's right. I just don't feel like Monk Gyatso will be alive. It's been a hundred years since you've been in the ice berg. No one would could be alive. Your body just gotten froze and somehow managed to stay that way with Appa. It won't be the same, Aang. It won't be the same." I said.

"How do you know about Gyatso?" He asked. I sighed in defeat.

"You guys really want to know the truth?" I asked looking at all their faces. They nodded.

"Where do I begin? I have a mom and a dad, six brothers, and two cats and three dogs. I live in a pretty big house. We have the best thing ever, which Sokka would love." I stopped ready for Sokka to say something.

"Meat?" he asked thrilled.

"Yes, meat. Hamburgers, steaks, hot dogs, bacon, deliciousness. And my favorite, pizza. A nice thin layer of bread crust, topped off with red tomato sauce, Then a thick layer of melted greasy cheese, and topped on with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, pineapple, or anything else!" I said. I could tell all their mouths were watering.

"Sounds so good, what's it called again?" Katara asked.

"Pizza!" I said. I heard her mumble some words.

"Talk about more meat!" Sokka protested.

"No, I don't think Aang would like to hear it. Maybe some other time." I said laying my head back.

"Okay!" he said then laid back enjoying the ride. I'm on a flying air bison! This is the best thing that's ever happened to me.
