Happy Happy Birthday

"We really should get going, the portkey won't stay open much longer," George commented, his features softening as he met my gaze.

Tyler's eyes narrowed as he studied George for a moment before nodding once, "you're going back with him?" I dropped his gaze and nodded, I felt tired and in no mood to argue. Tyler gave a heavy sigh, rubbing his neck as he glared at George, "keep in touch alright?"

"That's likely," George muttered, I jabbed his chest and he doubled over. "Of course, Ty."

He gave George a scathing look but smiled as he pulled me into a hug, "happy birthday by the way, Fey," he whispered in my ear low enough for only me to hear.

The guilt I had felt for just leaving him the way I did increased, "thanks, Ty." I gave him another hug before George and I walked down the street and apparated to the cemetery.

I looked at George uncertainly, "I'll stay right here, go on."

"How long until we have to be back?"

"Fifty minutes," George commented as he checked his watch.

I walked forward and found the familiar headstones, George was standing underneath a tree fixing his shirt as he waited. The grass was soft as I sat down and the breeze picked up, I smiled at the headstones before explaining what happened to me over the past few months.

The battle of Hogwarts happened almost a month ago now, I'm still not over how many people we've lost. The loss of Tonks and Lupin was hard for me. Everyone understood and George suggested that we take a trip home to make me feel better, but nothing was working-I missed Tonks and Lupin so much. Tonks was so amazing when I met her, if it hadn't been for her I wouldn't have been able to survive the war, but thanks to her I was here. I just wish she was with me, along with Lupin who was a rather smart man who I really admired.

"I have to go...I'll come back and visit, I do hope you're proud of me. I love you," I whispered before getting up and running over to George. We had one more stop over here before we needed to leave.

"Come on, love. Off to the market."

We walked hand in hand and turned on the spot before appearing in front of the old subway station that hid the wizard market. The market was packed for a Saturday, I missed the packed area and the different shops, and I stopped in front of the quidditch shop and snuck in to buy George a few things while he disappeared- possibly to buy me something.

"We should get going love," George commented after we headed out of the market.

"What about my apartment? I could get more-"

"No, no time," George said in a rush. I raised an eyebrow and scowled at him, "just not today dear. How about we see if we can get a portkey setup for next week?"

Still frowning, I nodded in agreement. We turned on the spot and found the portkey which took us straight to the burrow where we've been staying. "When do I get to see your shop?"

"Next week, Fred's taking care of that now."

"You should be with him," I stepped away from him as we continued walking.

"Ah, but a gorgeous girl like yourself is so much more important than that shop," George smirked as my face heated up. "But....I do have to meet Percy for a bit, think you'll be alright?"

I looked at the house and nodded, "sure, I can find something to entertain myself." George smiled and kissed my cheek before turning on the spot, I walked toward the house while steadying my nerves. We'd been here for a month but occasionally I still felt anxious about being here, often homesick for my own bed.
