Chapter 9~ Questions

"I'm guessing Dani and Cody went out on patrol, right?"

     I got a little startled when Talia spoke. The bots immediately clicked their visors in place and stood up straight trying to keep the mindless machine act. "Sorry if I interrupted. Something" Talia said.

"It's fine but try not to sneak up on us again," Dad answered.

"Yea sorry about that. I just wanted to apologize for... yesterday's incident." She said whispering the last 2 words while she was rubbing her arm with her hand looking down.

"It's ok. I understand but just know that I don't want to risk your well being on rescues. That's OUR job. We're trained for this kind of stuff." He said patting her shoulder.

She looked back up at him and said "Noted."

"I was well wondering if one of y'all could give me a lift to my uncle's. I want him to uh- investigate something for me." She said.

"Like what?" I asked curiously.

"It's not that important if you can't." She said nervously waving her hands in front of her. She was hiding something. I have that gut feeling but who am I to get into her business. I have my own set of worries for now.

"I was just about to go to his place. You can tag along if you want." I said.

"Yes!! Thanks, Graham." She replied.

     We waved goodbye to the others as Boulder and I left the firehouse. I need to make sure she doesn't stay the whole time though. Doc, Boulder, and I can't exactly do our project while she's there.

*Time skip (arriving at the lab)*

*Talia's POV (again.^.)

     We got to the laboratory and we were waiting for the automatic doors of the garage to fully open. When it did, we drove in. "Talia!!" I heard Frankie say.

"Hi, Frankie." I said getting out. "I just came by to ask your dad for a little favor."

     I went over to her and hugged her. After we let go she pouted and said, "Man! I was going to ask you if you wanted to join me and Cody to the park."

"I'm sorry I just kinda really want some answers regarding something um- important to me." I lied. I knew she was going to ask me what it was about so I told her that I would tell her later after I get the answers I wanted.

"Promise?" She asked pointing her index finger at me.

"Promise."

     I got up and walked up to my uncle who was having a conversation with Graham. He saw me and said, "Hello Tal, what do you need?" 'Tal? That was a first. I've never been called Tal. I guess that's his nickname for me then.'

"Sorry to interrupt but I want to ask you for a small favor. Can I?"

Yes, of course. What is it?" He asked with a tint of curiosity in his eyes.

"Well, yesterday night I discovered something rather intriguing and I'm hoping you have an explanation or at least some answers," I explained.

"Hm. And what was it about?" He asked.

"My bracelet. It's somehow linked to this crystal thing inside of it. Yesterday during a fire, it protected me with some sort of holographic shield it produced. There's this blue crystal that could be the power source, I presume. I'm not entirely sure." I explained. I pressed the button that made it open and showed him.

"Oh my." He said after he gasped.

"What? What is it." I got worried. 'Is it harmful? Could it be radioactive? Is it rare?'

"This crystal is um- how do I put it." He said tapping his chin with his finger. "Well this isn't a crystal at all and its origin is from space. F-from what I heard." I looked at him like he was crazy.

"From what I heard? What do you mean? Are you not sure?" I asked.

"Let's just say that it is not from Earth origin, but I will run some tests on it to make sure my thoughts are correct. Ok?" He said reassuringly.

     I sighed. "Yea, ok. Thanks. Is it fine if I stay here and watch or do you want to do it alone or?"

"It's probably best for you to leave. Graham can help me with the tests while he's here. Why don't you join the kids on their trip to the park while you wait." He suggested.

"Alright then. I'll go with them. But you keep me updated on anything important." I said. As I walked away he replied "Ok!"

*Doc. Greene's POV*

     I watched as Frankie and Talia climbed into Blades, leaving. Dani was going to drop them off at their destination. I looked back at the crystal which was inside of Talia's bracelet and gazed at it. I was kind of surprised that I would find THIS in Talia's possession. I called Graham and Boulder over. Since Talia already left, Boulder had already transformed out of his alt. mode and into his bipedal form.

"What is it Doc?" Asked Boulder.

"Look," I said showing them the light blue crystal.

"What is Energon doing in Talia's bracelet?" Graham asked confused.

"I don't know," I said

"I don't know."

Yello peeps. It's been a while since I updated. I sincerely apologize. It's just that tbh I'm a procrastinator and that hasn't been a problem the past 9 years of my school life until now. I will have to get my shit together since I learned that I won't be able to keep my update schedule (which was originally Tuesdays and Thursdays) intact.

Freshman year is already too hard for me and my lazy ass so bear with me here. I will try to update on the weekends given that the weekdays I already get to much homework and too many tests to study for. If not then whenever I can. Ok? Ok. Also thank you for reading. Have a blessed day.🥰🙏🏼
