Anurag gently laid a sleeping Nandini on the bed and tucked her inside the blanket. He slowly rubbed her forehead to ease the creases...
"Aap sab log jaa kar so jaayiye... kal jaldi udna hai na..." Anurag said in a calm tone to everyone.
"Main aaj Nandu ke paas hi so jaati hu" Amms said looking at Nandini's sleeping figure.
Then everyone retired to their respective rooms, including Anurag. Prerna immediately took the water jar from the table and made an excuse, "Main paani le kar aati hu"
Prerna rushed outside and searched for Anurag.

Anurag was standing on the balcony and deeply disturbed. A soft hand on his shoulder made him turn around.
"Don't worry, hum sab hai na Nandu ke paas"
"hmm..." Anurag sighed and smiled at her, but still he is in thoughts...
"Kya soch rahe ho?!"
"Ithne dino se Nanni theek thi na, ab achanak ese phir se kyun?!!"
"Phir se matlab?! Nandu pehle bhi ese sapne dekhte the?!"
"Hmm... chaar saal pehle jab Manik ka accident hua tha, tab se meri Nanni ese har raat.... but maine socha tha ki sab theek ho gaya, par aaj achanak kya ho gaya!!!!"
"Par jab Nandu Kolkata mein thi, toh ese kabhi nahi huyi thi....!!!"
"Really?!...{He thought for a moment and then sighed with a smile} shaayad Manik bhi vahi pe tha na isiliye..."
Prerna looked at him as if he has to explain more. Then Anurag continues,
"mujhe toh pyaar mein viswas hi nahi tha... college mein jab saare boys girls ke peeche bhaagte the aur tab main... books pe peeche... kuch ban na tha, Papa ke liye...Nanni ke liye.... aur, uss Naveen ko pakadne ke liye..."
"Phir?!"
"Phir Nanni ne dikhaya ki pyaar kaise hote hai... tab bhi main inkaar karta tha, but jab Manik vaapas aaya, tab mujhe pata chala ki vaakayi mein Nanni sahi thi... pyaar sach mein hai, and now..." He stopped.
Prerna looked at him with hope, "And now?!" She asked in a desperate whisper, full of longing.
Anurag turned to look at her and then he took a step towards her and snaked his hand around her waist. With one pull, their love nullified the distance between them. He looked at her eyes with more love, and then cupped her face,

Anurag looked at his beautiful bride and his mouth widened in surprise.
"muh band rakh, varna makhi guss jaayenge" Zubin whispered and pushed a marigold flower inside his mouth
Anurag spit it out and glared at Zubin, who is giggling non stop
