"You know I love our movie nights," I tell my best friends as I wait for the popcorn to get ready. "but I can't help but wonder what people do in parties."

It was a typical Friday night for me and my friends. Binge-watching shows, especially Vampire Diaries. My two friends were in love with Nina and I really like a bare chested Damon.

Just in case you're wondering my best friends are boys and I'm a girl.

My name is Sydney Connors. I'm 17 and in my last year to have fun in highschool, just in case you're wondering it's senior year.

I have two best friends, Trevor Wallace and Tyler Jones and we're inseparable and kinda loners. They'd do anything for me and I would do same.

I also have a brother in college. His name is Seth and he's not all that amazing to me. I think he secretly hates me.

Unsurprisingly, he's at a college party. He's my opposite. He's bold and daring, sociable, cocky, a flirt and a charmer.

I mean I'm not shy or ugly or anything. I just don't like people that much. I love my life. No stressing out about what you're going to wear, eat and laugh about.

"They drink till they blackout, Syd. It's not that fun." Tyler says, going on all fours and looking under my beanbag.

I knew he was searching high and low for my secret stash of candy. We love ourselves some Snickers.

"And that's coming from someone who thinks fun is dangerous." I say, plopping down next to Trevor on the floor.

We were in my room and it was pretty awesome. It had a flat screen TV, two beanbags, and my ever so comfy double bed. My parents weren't around so I hooked up the microwave to the spare outlet.

I was too lazy to keep going down to the kitchen to get snacks.

"Fun isn't dangerous." Trevor sighed. "Danger is fun." He thinks he's so smart coming up with that one.

Our triangle of friendship went like this:

I like fun, Trevor liked fun and Tyler also liked fun.

Tyler likes to play it safe and Trevor and I hate that but it does get us out of trouble.

Trevor likes danger, I don't hate it but I don't like it either and Tyler definitely doesn't like it.

Strange. I know.

How we became best friends still baffles me. Maybe it's cause our parents are friends and work in the same firm together. We've been together since us wearing diapers.

Tyler scoffs. "There you go again with that stupid saying."

"At least it's true." Trevor mutters. "What are we watching anyway." He asks me.

"The Notebook." I squeal excitedly. This was the second time we were going to watch that movie.

The guys groan. And Trevor's like. "No way. I don't want to see a crybaby Tyler tonight."

"Dude! You cried too." Tyler shoves him. They begin to shove each other.

Just then I hear the door bell and everything goes silent. We all look at each other and back to my room door.

Tensions are high.

For all I know it could be a Pizza delivery and it was an unspoken rule that whoever got to the pizza guy first gets half of the whole thing, no matter who pays for it.

What I didn't know was who ordered it.

The ringing had become a lot now and Tyler made a beeline for the door but I tripped him and quickly got up. Trevor swiped my feet from under me and I landed on my butt. He jumped over me and stuck a perfect landing in front of Tyler who was flat on his stomach and winked at us while opening the door, running out.
