I wouldn't really call this a prologue, more like an introduction.

Ohw and I made a short note for you guys in the cast section, go check it out.

~IRE'S POV~

"Oga move your car naah" Honking at the stupid man that was using his car to block me.

I'm honestly not ready for all this insane drivers because I am madly stressed from all the working. My feet hurt from all the walking around in heels and my eyes from all the long hours I spent staring at my computer screen. Right now all I want is a hot bath and a long night sleep.

After I had gotten through the traffic, I finally arrived home. And before you ask, Yes....I have my own personal duplex.

Well, not because I worked for it, but because I am Ire Bello, third daughter of the well known Chief Wale Bello. My father gave all his daughters cars and houses, but right now his new policy is that we work to earn. Making my life mad stressful.

I turn the door knob, pushing the door and walking in to meet Bimpe curled up in the couch with her eyes on the tv. She turns to me on hearing the door.

"Madam, what brings you home by this time"

"Work" I answered as a matter of fact

"Mtchew, I was expecting something different today, like a cute colleague took you out for dinner" Rolling her eyes and returning her gaze back to the tv.

Bimpe was my bestfriend, the more reason why we both live together. She was definition of funny and crazy. Bimpe's hobby is to gist, watch tv and follow man. I know right, were complete opposite personalities, but I love her like that.

"I wish" I said as I chuckled and head for the stairs. Even climbing the steps feels like torture!

I walked into the room smiling at the bed that repeatedly called my name. 'Ire, come forth'

"Finally" I muttered to myself as I took my heels off, my accessories and my peplum top. That's when out of nowhere, my phone just rang.

"Can't somebody rest again" I groaned as I tried unzipping my office skirt while ignoring the caller. The phone stopped ringing and I walked straight to my dressing table to take off my makeup.

Before I could finish, my phone rang again. I made a sigh of annoyance before searching for my phone on my bed. Now who is the person that does not want Ire Bello to rest.

Ye!!!......It was mother..... Ire you're dead ohh

Calm down, just makeup an excuse. I exhaled before answering the call. "Good evening mother"

"Ire!!, where did you place your phone that I've been calling you since!" She yelled for the other side of the phone.

"Eem, I was in the bathroom, just coming out. Ma binu" (Sorry)

"Your father wants all his daughters home by tomorrow "

"Tomorrow???"

"Yes Ire, I don't have water in my mouth and I don't want to hear any silly excuses. Iyẹn ni gbogbo rẹ wa dara ninu" (That is what all of you are good in)

"Mom, I haven't talked to my boss and I don't plan on taking any trip down to Lagos"

"Ire!"

"Yes" I answered dryly while rolling my eyes even if she couldn't see it.

"O n gbiyanju mi!" (You're trying me)

Why is my mother like this

"Alright, I'll come down to Lagos tomorrow" She made a chuckle and says, "Like you have a choice"

"Yes mom, you never give choices... So I'm used to it"

"Tell me when last you and your sisters had time together"

"Well, I had a facetime with Lari, Simi called this morning and Tobi chatted me on WhatsApp. So basically, we've been in contact"

"Ṣe o ri, it's phone that is the problem of this generation. Wo, just be home tomorrow" hanging up before I could say anything.(You see)

See me that wanted to rest. I know I'm not the only one mom is doing this to. I and my sisters are scattered all over Nigeria and we don't even reside in the same state as our parents. Except for Simi who is doing business in Lagos for the mean time.

I go online and pay for flight tickets then get out my box and start parking my clothes.

"What's all these" Bimpe said, standing at the door entrance with her hand on her waist.

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Wait, don't tell me you're going on a business trip with that your hot boss. I knew it!"

I laugh at Bimpe for a while before telling her, "I'm going to Lagos tomorrow, my mother just called and she wants all her children home"

"Why now?, so I'm going to be the only one alone in this house" A frown on her face.

"Nobody is going to be in this house because you're going with me"

Her frown suddenly disappears then she runs to me for a tight hug, even giving me a big kiss on my cheek.

"I can't believe I'm actually gonna step foot into Chief Bello's mansion!" She squeals.

I laughed at her statements, "Wait till you meet my drama queens, my sisters"

Bimpe scoffed and sat on my bed "Bimpe Adekuya can handle any type of drama and in some cases, I enjoy it. Finally, I'm leaving this Abuja"

"Why?.... Abuja is great"

"Abeg Ire, which one is 'Abuja is great', It's just filled with stingy Alhaji's and broke men. Hmmm, me I need Lagosian boys oh"

You see what I said, it's only men she knows.

"Whatever, go pack up.... Our flight is early" Folding my clothes and placing them neatly into my box.

"Shet!!!, I left plantain on fire!!!" She screamed then quickly rushed out of my bedroom.

"Please I hope it's only you that is eating that plantain oh!!" I yelled

"It's our night food!" She shouted back making me laugh. I'm sure that plantain has burnt because I could smell it.

I wonder how my sisters are doing, it's been years since we all met. Can't wait to enter the family house and to see my Chief daddy. I miss father so much, I can't say the same for mother because she makes it difficult for somebody to actually miss her.

But for my sisters... I'm soo excited!!!
